I agree with everything you said on this episode. Twelve years old is too young for sex and the mother should be doing everything in her power to stop it, BUT, it is the parents choice. In fact in California, a parent or guardian can request birth control for a 12-year-old. More importantly, California law permits minors of any age to access birth control with or without parental consent. Where iit gets tricky is, sex with anyone under the age 18 is illegal, with or withour parental consent. So, anyone having sex with the girl can be charged with statutory rape. IF they are with 3 years of age the charge is reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. But the charge of rape will still go on their record. There is no way a hospital would allow that asshole to treat (shock) his own wife. Treating your own family members in life threatening situations is a No-No. I REALLY wish they would end this Addison should I shouldn’t I with respect to cheating with pregnant woman’s doctor husband. I’m DONE with it. I really don’t know what Cooper thinks Child Protective Services could do about the Sexually active 12 year old. The mom isn’t having sex with her. The best he could do is get a bunch of kids charged with sex crimes including the girl. She is after all, having sex with minors as well.

Just to touch on what you were talking about, while yes as an overall trend it can be harder to get pregnant after a certain age, it’s far from a rule and I fully believe the reason so many men especially push this narrative is that they want to normalise relationships where the man is significantly older. I actually think what the mother is doing here is smart. While yes she could maybe be doing more to discourage it, but what’s she’s doing makes it FAR safer if it’s going to happen anyway. Can’t believe i’m agreeing with Naomi. But, the mother should have sorted out the birth control before condoning it like that I think. Surely that’s the smart order to do that in. Pete dating a patients mother does feel wrong to me. If they were already dating and the son came in, I’d say it would be wrong for him to be his doctor due to their outside connection, so why would it be different if it’s the other way around. Wow yeah. That’s annoying. Addison really should know better and shouldn’t be doing that. Ok she kicked him out but man she still leaned into that.
