Hey Shan happy 2026, sings* Are you having a good time?* and speaking of. So much time had passed between the pilot and the second episode that Zack managed to write his excellent movie ‘Garden State’ and Donald Faison (Turk) starred in a movie. Watching this show again from the beginning 20 years later and you can see how different it was from other network TV shows, the writing the originality the music it all flows together so perfectly. That air-five the Todd gave really hurt. JD’s scrubs are blue like Elliot’s because there medical interns. Turks and The Todd have green scrubs because there surgical interns. The ‘Would you like to play a game’ is from the 1980’s Matthew Broderick movie War Games Bill Lawrence who created the show said it was like E.R only half as long and twice as funny. He wrote this episode and told the audience exactly who JD was as a character based on his real life friend who works to this day in a hospital, the stories he told are inspired by a real life JD. JD was okay with Bill using his name, his stories, his early life as a screw up as long as they never showed him as callous, JD cares about people and will always put them first, above bureaucracy, above health insurance, above money.

This came out when I was in high school and I remember not liking this show, don't know why, but now I love this show. Once I watched Ted Lasso, I started watching this show because of Bill Lawrence and I gave this show a chance. I sometimes watch shows I didn't like when I was younger and I give them a second chance, glad I did with this show.

This series was a slow burn for me, But I stuck with it and over time I really enjoyed it. The stuffed pup really is creepy, expecially if it really was a living dog once. So far my favoriye character is the janitor, but then again I identify with janitors.
