Hey Shan. *Waves* I know… I’m no superman. The wrestling promo JD cut on Dr. Cox was…. I got nothing. Nah I’m just kidding! Every 80’s wrestling promo looked like that back in the day, the mullet, the spandex, sometimes a belt, sometimes face paint, always shouty, back when the nose candy was pure and the steroids were used as M&Ms. The billboards of Turk were used in real life to advertise the show, And it’s a real billboard not a visual effect. The college brochure with two Turks in the picture is a real thing that happened in a college in America. Same black man on the cover, twice. I’m not saying this cast got drunk and spent a lot of time together but, after a 16 hour work day on set they would still spend time with each other after hours. The scene where Elliot goes downtown in a taxi, turns around a few times, and throws her hat alludes to the end of the introduction of the Mary Tyler Moore Show, where Mary basically does the same. Sarah Chalke would leave work on a Friday and come back on the Monday with the wildest stories of what happened to her. This was when Dr. Cox’s rants would start getting longer. And when we see how he really feels about JD.
