Hello sweetie. Final Who. And I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work given everything you’re going through. This episode was broadcast on the narrative date of: 26/06/2010. River's main costume in this story was designed deliberately to evoke both Princess Leia and Han Solo vibes so that she looked like, according to director Toby Haynes, a "female Han Solo". I thought she looked hot, proper nice backside on her. In the script it was written that the Doctor was a "terrible dancer" and danced like a "drunk giraffe", so Matt Smith came up with his own routine of the ‘drunk giraffe’ a dance move that he still gets asked about at Cons and I personally still perform at Weddings cos why not. Do you dance at weddings? According to Toby Haynes, (episode director) Matt Smith nailed the Doctor's goodbye to Amelia Pond on the first take. He repeatedly listened to Johnny Cash's rendition of "Hurt" to put himself in the right frame of mind. If you look closely you’ll see tears in his eyes before he says ‘I don’t belong here anymore’. Little Amelia Pond really did fall asleep on set. He was right yanno, we’re all stories in the end. So make your life a good story because there is no dress rehearsal, that’s the message I take away from Dr who in general not just this episode. Rory Williams making every man look bad by waiting outside a box for 2000 years, who can compete with that, not me. Two part banger. Full beards/ three roses all round even though I remember not liking it when it aired because I missed David Tennant and they didn’t acknowledge him in the big ending rewind. DW at this point in time is a 50 year long Jenga tower filled with lore and history, the trick is to add to it without knocking it over, the longer it goes on the harder this will be IMO. I’m out!

It's a decent episode with many brilliant scenes. But I'm still confused about the main plot... even though it's my second time watching 🌀
