Yeah in the UK we have the NHS which means all medical stuff is free at the point of use. We don’t even get a bill that’s zero’d out by insurance or medicare or anything, there’s just no mention of cost at all. Medication is £9.50 per prescription (free if you make below a certain amount or under 18) you can also pay £32 every 3 months or £114 a year and that covers all prescriptions. American healthcare has always fascinated me in a way. So many shows that just wouldn’t be a thing outside of the US. Like Breaking bad if he didn’t have to make money to pay for his cancer treatment. Lmao Alex’s scream at the start. Maybe Izzie doesn’t mind living in a trailer because she grew up with it. I know she hasn’t exactly spoken highly of her childhood, but maybe the trailer isn’t too bad. I wouldn’t mind it too much personally. I understand why she did it, but I think it’s very unfair of Lexie to ask that of Meredith. I don’t really blame Lexie completely because it was a highly emotional situation, but I do think it’s very unfair of her to ask and I kinda hate that it worked. Having said that, I do like the “i do know what it’s like to have a sister” speech. They’ve really come a long way since Lexie first joined the show!
