At least as i understand it V1's volatility is when given to humans and those who survive dont age so they are essentially immortal but a stronger supe could still kill them. So giving V1 to Annie or Kimiko would be less risky because they are significantly stronger than humans and able to survive the process. Not that it matters now. If i could have powers i would want something plant based kind of a mix between swamp thing and poison ivy. I unfortunately do not have high hopes in a satisfying ending and i dont even know what one would look like from this point.

It's been awhile but I had to check in since this show is coming to an end. Sorry I haven't been up to date on your reactions as of late. It's not just your channel. I don't really have much time anymore to watch much of the content that I used to. But that's what happens when you go from a bachelor to a family guy, or gal lol. I was saying on social media after the last episode, that people are forgetting about Marie Moreaux. I figured they were saving her for the last half. People kept saying that would be dumb if they just had someone from the spinoff show come into play at the 11th hour. But I agree with your sentiments. This is a shared universe. Why would they not utilize other characters? Well, turned out to be a big fucking dud. "Rumors of my awesomeness have been greatly exaggerated." Like, what? They were building up her power to be a foil for Homelander and they even had that fight with Jordan where she learned to control them. So that didn't happen now? It looks like they are saving all the major final moments for the last episode, which is ok if they pay it off. I don't honestly know how they will though. I guess we will see. My favorite character? It goes back and forth. Currently though, it's Hughie. A weird power that would be cool would be to have the strongest legs in the world. But my arms are human and I couldn't punch for shit. That would be pretty funny. I feel like season 5 has been ok but not as good as the other seasons. The problem, I think is them having to constantly jumble through what will eventually happen in the finale, because the comic ending is pretty much a non-possibility now. I hope they stick the landing. I hope at the end of it, we'll be saying wow, they made us wait but it was worth it. I'm just not going to hold my breath though. What I'm really hoping for is a team effort to take down Homelander. Marie, Kimiko, Ryan, the other supes and even Dean, hopefully he doesn't stay in the cryo chamber. He may not have wanted to kill his son before but now, he will be pissed. Anyway, crossing my fingers that this doesn't become another GoT. It definitely can't be worse, right? RIGHT?! Hey Shan, the one week you get on your soapbox and vent your frustrations about the show and two Gen V characters show up. Genuinely thought that was SMG dressed up as Starlight on the movie set, I was so excited and then was let down immediately and i really hope that’s not foreshadowing for the finale. The Deep is a bitch, sorry not sorry fuck that guy, I’ve never fuckin liked him he has to die, if he doesn’t I’m smashing my television and I like my television I don’t wanna buy another. He needs to get pulled apart by two hungry sharks, that’s what I want. He just refuses to grow and evolve and that pisses me off. Butcher on the other hand is my favourite character, he is ruthless, homicidal, single minded, focused, foul mouthed and his awesome shirts and good haircut drew me into the show in the first place. Huey is the guy that you wanna be. He is kind, good natured and assholes like me are drawn to that, they level us out, bring us back from the brink. Was nice to see JDM one more time. I didn’t hate season 5, it plodded along at a slower pace and felt drawn out, think of a piece of chewing gum that’s been chewed and your trying to stretch it across a space too far for it to go that for me is season 5 and to wrap it all up in 60 minutes and have it make sense… big shoes to fill Kripke! What was the point of bringing Jensen back? To have him smash Firecracker or have the SPN reunion. My SuperPower - knowing my luck it wouldn’t be something cool like flight or invisibility it would be knowing when somebody was lying or being able to turn liquids into solids but it only works on milk. I can turn milk into granite. Great stuff. Favourite moments - there’s been so many, A-train running through Robin was the hook that got me watching- the epic fight scene with Maeve Annie and soldier boy at the end of season 3. I just need a satisfying ending that doesn’t mirror real life political events and keeps those of us that are invested content. Not even happy or elated just fuckin content at this point just don’t “Thrones” the ending Kripke! I’m out

There's been lots and lots of superpower shows that you've watched over the years. How does this rank among them as a super-power type show? Things like Buffy, AoS, Arrowverse, LoT, etc count in the rankings.

I'm behind on your Boys reactions, I still haven't even gotten to the Gen V season reactions yet so it will be a little bit before I get to watching this. My favorite character: tough call, there are many good ones but I'd probably have to go with Soldier Boy. He was only in a small portion of the show, but Jensen stole every scene he was in & had so many funny lines to me Favorite scene: For an individul scene I'd pick the end of Herogasm when Annie takes a stand & speaks out against Vought & Homelander. A great example of being bad ass with only using your words. Favorite season: I think season 3 was the best. It fleshed out more of the past of this world while also adding to the future of it. Something I wished they changed: Looking back at it, Hughie's dad getting V didn't really add anything to the overall story & could've been cut. You could've had his dad just die & still have the story of him & his mom reconnecting without getting V involved. Anything from the comics I wished they incorporated: Part of me kind of wishes the kept Black Noir like what he was in the comics. A clone of Homelander created in secret as a backup incase Homelander needed to be taken out. He grew resentful & jealous that he was just like Homelander but didn't get to be like him publically so he killed Butcher's wife to frame Homelander to try to get someone to take him out so Noir could take over as Homelander. It's complicated but I think an interesteing dynamic they passed up on by making TV show Noir different. What Powers would I get: With my luck something completely useless like my hands & feet being switched, or super sharp teeth like knives that keep cutting the inside of my mouth or something like that. What do I hope happens: For Homelander I think the worst & most appropriate fate for him would be to be depowerd & live, to go as just a regular person struggling to get by like the rest of us, especially after his recent "I'm a god" phase. Imagine him having a minimum wage job at fast food place or a grocery store having to serve other people. It would be torture for him. Also I'd like to see Hughie & Annie get a happy ending & get to just live their lives in peace. I think they've both earned it. I can maybe see Ryan becoming a true super hero, not the Vought PR show heroes but a real hero. Back earlier in the season when he asked Butcher if he would turn out like Homelander I said the fact that he even asked the question showed me he had enough self awareness of his actions to not go down the path to being like his father. I could also see if Homelander gets taken down, whoever becomes the President in the aftermath makes V illegal so no new supes happen. Although with Ryan being natural born it's possible more like him could happen & V may not be needed in the future. I would imagine too despite Stan Edgar's goal of retaking control of Vought (if he's even still alive) I could see Vought collapsing if Homelander gets taken down. Stockholders will probably pull out, the market will collapse. I'd imagine the new replacement US Government would probably seize Vought records & assets & the company will go under. How have I felt about season 5: it's not bad, I have been enjoying the story, but at the same time to me it felt like seasons 4 & 5 just haven't been as strong as 1-3.

Hey Shan, I agree i wish they did more with starlight. You made that one observation that why doesn't she make herself invisible, that's not how her powers work, I'm presuming that idea came from that villain from the flash that could make herself invisible by manipulating light spectrums. Starlight doesn't manipulate the light spectrum, she absorbs light energy and then expels light energy, in layman's terms she a solar panel. As for the question about what superpowers i would like, not really superpowers but since i was a teenager i wanted to be a vampire, not because of Buffy either, mostly because of a show called Forever Knight, and Bramm Stokers Dracula.
