It’s about suffering Shan! Who is Frank Castle? I think he’s a man who would rather be at war than at home. He’s a man who right now needs direction, a goal, some sense of fuckin guidance in his life coz guess what, killing people relentlessly is not good a career despite him being really good at it. Next time put your “suspenders of disbelief” on before pressing play. If there was ever a character that suffers from PTSD and mental health issues it’s Frank Castle. I’m glad Disney didn’t shy away from that, they held it up front and centre and made it the backbone of this story. Jon Bernthal wrote this, he could have had Frank being a good neighbour but that’s not who he is, he was never that guy, he’s the type of guy who misses the War zone so much he wants to go back, so before he gets set on fire and goes all “live action video game” that’s him realising he is that guy. I loved every minute of this, I nearly shed a tear in the first 5 minutes because what the fuck, this man was struggling and Jon Bernthal did a fan-fuckin-tastic job, give him all of the awards, his command of every weapon he held would have you believing he is a genuine Marine, he is running around like he’s in a video game picking up ammo and blasting everyone that moves and he killed a man with a pen… a fuckin pen. Yes it was a little John Wick, and yes it was a little video gamey. But I’m okay with that. I wouldn’t call Hatebreed screamo. And the song choice is very Frank. The one old timey one not so much, idk who that was for. That was all I wanted when watching this, a bit of violence and some gory kills and I got so much more. He’s not keeping that Moses beard. It doesn’t suit him. Your reaction was fine, I appreciate your opinion (always) but fuck man give him a break. It felt like me watching DD born again season one - fuck that I’m not doing that again. Final thoughts. The purpose was to refresh audiences minds of Who the Punisher is this close to the new Spider-Man movie coming out. Number 2. Gives Jon Bernthal a chance to shine in the writing and production process he does know the character inside and out. I’m out.

The episode is all about his PTSD. Since he again believes he is all done with getting his justice for his family. He has nothing else to live for. The visions of his family was because he believes it is time for to end his life to be with them. But in the visions are technally telling him not to do it at the end. The mother of the crime family ended up giving him a reason to stay alive. Now for the suit like I said before he thought he was finished and all we know is that he didn’t really have time to wear the suit. Not everyone wears the outfit all the time. The ending of the show when he wears his outfit again is when (Queting from John Wick) “Yeah, I’m Thinking I’m Back”
