Addison being a world renowned double board-certified OB/GYN. She also has subspecialties in fetal surgery, neonatal surgery, and medical genetics. She likely makes triple that if not more. So, figure her at $16,000/week. So, $50,000 would be slightly over 3 weeks’ pay. Pediatricians generally make less than other doctors. They consistently rank among the lowest-paid physician specialties When Violet grabbed the hammer you asked why do you have that. In an earlier scene Cooper put the hammer there after having taken it from Charlotte so she would stop demolishing his bathroom. Having a child from a rape situation can create other issues as well. In some states in US the rapist has child visitation rights. These rights can be terminated is the person is convicted and sentenced but not necessarily. I feel this is horrible, but they didn’t put me in charge. It does however create a situation where the woman is forced to work with her rapist as a coparent. Again, horrible but true. Sounds like Violet is starting to confront her issues with what happened to her. Sam said he was a cardio resident, not an attending. It’s unlikely they would let him get perform surgery without first coming his certification then becoming an attending surgeon at that hospital. Especially doing surgery on a child which is more difficult. Why did Addison say she was going to get a different surgeon when Sam was having issues. She is a world renowned neo natal surgeon, she is more qualified to operate on a child than Sam or likely any other surgeon there. 3x5 I like that the woman that lost the baby was supporting the mother of that baby. On one hand she wants revenge on the person that hurt her, but her professional side knew she wasn’t responsible. So she did what she could, she told the truth. I like that. But to be honest, if she had gone for revenge, I don’t know if I could blame her. Charlotte, a sex doctor. While she does seem to have demonstrated a thorough lnowledge of …sex play in the show. That area of specialty seems a bit … new age… for her. She always struck me and a more old fashion view of medical practice and less of an eastern philosophy doctor.

I do agree that Katie probably should be found not guilty by reason of insanity, however my understanding is that she would be put in a mental hospital for a long time in that case, definitely not a lenient sentence in any way. I also think it’s extremely unfair to ask for that from Violet and i really felt for her in that scene when she was talking to Katie in prison. Cooper is being extremely insecure with this situation with Charlotte. Sure he was drunk when he got into bed and said all that but that’s really not the point is it. Tough situation with the swapped babies. The guy is such an arse and it says it all that he left when he did and came back when he did. No excuses for that whatsoever.
