Hey Shan hope your okay and the anxiety you spoke of has passed, that shit can be a bitch, I know you’ll be okay though, your the most capable/ creative person I’ve ever followed online (not a compliment so don’t get embarrassed) just facts. The landlord, (greasy dog owner dude) Purcell, was inspired by a physical education teacher who had terrorised Mark Gatiss in his youth. My PE teacher never bothered me that much. He did on occasion throw the ball directly at my face to ‘test my reaction speed’ but that’s normal right? In the scene in which Alex and the Doctor are in the kitchen they open and close the fridge as they are talking; this was not in the script, but improvised by Matt Smith and Daniel Mays on set. Anything to make this borefest better I suppose. Yea nah yeah not a fan of this one, creepy kid with creepier monsters in the wardrobe, I grew up with Hellraiser, your monsters under the bed will have to gut me and rip my face off to scare me - filler episode, skip on a rewatch, heater from me.

The reason the kid sent the old lady into the closet was she scared him when she walked by his window. Rory told Amy, jokingly, they should let the monsters goggle him up as they walked past his window so they then became scary (you even said, "He won't trust them now".
