You can get a booster shot for chicken pox. You don’t want to get it as an adult. I did at 37. It’s very serious in adults. It can cause blindness, insanity, infertility, organ failure, heart failure and death. He said, “I won’t let you toss me aside, I won’t let you”. I agree about Derek and the Chief. He had prior opportunities to get the Chief’s job but didn’t take it. In fact he delayed accepting the job and warned the chief they were going to replace him so he could find a way to impress the Board enough to Not replace him. Izzy wanted to stay, Alex asked to her leave, so she’s leaving. As for the reason for her character going, Katherine Heigl leaving the show was her idea. She left the show to prioritize her family after adopting a daughter. She has also been open about experiencing debilitating anxiety and stress from the long shooting schedules. She said she was "breaking" and felt she had no other choice but to leave for her well-being. Another factor was a highly publicized behind-the-scenes tensions and artistic differences with showrunner Shonda Rhimes.

The way they’ve written Izzie is absolutely insane. I said before that i’d explain it all eventually and now is the time seeing as you’ve already realised that’s it for her. The behind the scenes reasons for all this is that she asked for her contract to be shortened due to a falling out between her and Shonda. It all stemmed from her turning down an Emmy nomination a couple of years prior for Season 4 (she’d already won one the year before for a Season 3 episode) because she didn’t feel like the writing for her character was strong enough to deserve an Emmy. Ever since that happened she didn’t like the direction her character was taking and supposedly felt like she was being punished for turning the Emmy down and so asked for her release at the end of season 5 and now here we are. What i don’t understand is why they didn’t just kill her off at the end of Season 5 considering it ended on the cliffhanger of her maybe being dead. Maybe they felt it was a bit too much to kill off her and George at once. But this has felt like a complete honestly intentional character assassination. The way Meredith and Derek are handling this Richard situation is insane. It’s obviously the wrong thing to do and it’s crazy that Owen of all people is the one to talk some sense into him. I would go absolutely insane if i was in Callie’s position. If i have an itch i have to itch it immediately. Callie and Mark have a very strange friendship all things considered, like a weird friends with benefits but no longer with the benefits but more than just friends. I kind of love it though. I find Owen so uncomfortable to watch when he has heightened emotion. He just comes across so aggressive.
