OK, first they had me disliking Addison because of her behavior with that cardio Doctor last season. Then Cooper turns into an ass. Now Niomi is acting like a B*****. I'm running out of characters I like in this show. Violet abandoned her child, Dell was cruel to his dying baby Momma. Pete and Sam are meh. I guess Charlotte and Sheldon are my favs now.

I really appreciate the way that Addison talks to Maya when she’s about to do the abortion. I know so many characters on this show are horrendous a lot of the time but I appreciate the way they handle these topics. I do agree with you though that it’s disappointing how TV shows try and avoid main characters having abortions on screen, but we do at least have characters here that are open about having abortions in the past and being comfortable in that decision. My (admittedly limited) understanding is that different methods of abortion are used at different stages. I fully agree with Addison though. While a fetus is unable to survive outside of the mothers body it should always be considered part of the woman and not its own entity. There’s a time before it’s born that it’s able to survive and at that point it becomes a more nuanced topic but nobody is carrying a baby to that point and then deciding they don’t want it. I think laws that try and regulate that are almost always awful though and will cause women to die if there’s a complication and doctors are unable to intervene quickly enough. Naomi is just absolutely awful though. Just in every way. Horrendous. I agree it’s frustrating that all the “medical breakthroughs” the last few episodes all end up not working. But i always see it as these things fail because the guy uses not great methods to do it and rushes, cuts corners etc. It’s a bit annoying though that now one has worked it’s because of one of our main characters saving the day.
