Hello hello I’am very hot and sweaty right now as of writing this - the weather is killing me roasting my brain, Remember the burn with me episode with the Doctor and Martha. This episode was shown at the Edinburgh International Television Festival in August of 2011, idk why or what they thought of it. The Ponds are on the verge of divorce because Steven Moffat wanted to emphasise that the normal problems and the challenges of marriage were just as important as their adventures with the Doctor. Originally, the Ponds' divorce was to be signposted by Rory's choice to grow a beard, despite Amy's loathing of facial hair, which he would shave off at the story's conclusion. Between seasons, Arthur Darvill was appearing on stage as Mephistopheles (idk how to say it either) in Doctor Faustus, and Steven Moffat planned to have him keep the beard he had grown for that role. Shan your not the only one that had a problem with the Ponds being divorced- Steven Moffat had previously been divorced and tackled the subject in his previous work, In fact many viewers took issue with the Ponds' divorce being resolved by the end of the episode and never mentioned again. David Gyasi would go on to star in Interstellar. This is the first Dalek story where the Daleks don't actually kill anyone, they just spin. More Daleks, more Moffat, more confusion I love it, just like your reactions they are always amazing genuine and honest thank you for all that you do. But beware… I am not a fan of every episode in season seven and when I shit on it you’ll know about it, I mean it will come from such a height you’ll think god himself had squatted over the episode. Have a lovely day. Peace out Girl Scouts

Oswin was originally conceived as being a fan of Elvis Presley, whose music would play throughout the adventure and inspire The Doctor to give her the nickname "Blue Suede Shoes". However, when obtaining the rights to use these songs proved problematic.

There's a special that takes place in between episode 5 and episode 6 of this series The first 5 episodes were shown in 2012, then a christmas special took place then the rest of the regular episodes were shown in 2013

You know you are a Whovian when you smirk at one of the many “Doctor..Doctor Who” inside jokes. You are a serious Whovian when you argue that something the Daleks do is more of a Cyberman thing than a Dalek thing. One of Us! One of Us! 😄

This episode is a good start in my opinion, nice to see the daleks again, you may have noticed they brought back the dalek design from the Tenant era, and this episode is the last time you'll ever see the Power Ranger design ones by because no one like them. Always thought the twist with Oswin was good, did not see it coming when I saw this the first time. Also there's 5 funny web episodes called Pond Life that was released before this episode aired, you check it out if you want.
