Now this episode got back into the show, we actually see some character development from the Doctor, cause he chooses to risk his life for someone he doesn't even know (something a good man would do), and saves the survivors. Plus gives us a cool monster, love the design and how it drags its foot when walking gives a real undead feel. Also a real great mixture of both past and future altogether, cause they are in the future but the train gives it an early 20th century feel.

Btw really sorry to hear about what's going on with you lately, I really hope it gets better, and I will be thinking of you.

A monster that only its victims can see is one of the more horrifying ideas this show has had. Its victims can see it coming for them but nobody else will see or understand or believe them in their final moments. Its like a gaslighting monster.

I think Clara's change of heart is partly because the Doctor was honest with her at the end, but also when she asked the Doctor if the way he lived his life was an addiction, she was talking about herself. She knows its unhealthy, but can't give it up.

2026-10-28 06:00 Hello, I’m the Doctor I will be your victim this evening, Are you my mummy? The Doctor does something good in this one, hey there he is. I wondered where he’d gone. Is he going through some sort of midlife 2000 year crisis. Did he save Clara and let everyone else die, that depends on whether or not you believe his cover story and what kind of a man he is. This episode marks the first time since the 1996 TV movie that the Doctor has offered anyone jelly babies on screen, and writer of the episode Jamie Mathieson revealed on a Reddit Q and A that the Doctor having a cigarette case full of jelly babies was Peter Capaldi's idea. Jamie’s premise had been that the Doctor and Clara were on holiday, inspiring a running gag involving both time travellers investigating the mysterious goings-on while trying to keep their activities secret from each other. In-keeping with this seasons theme of lying to each other. Frank Skinner (Perkins) was an avid fan of the series and jumped at the chance to make a guest appearance, despite not being known as an actor. He is a comedian who made a football anthem that gets played every time England take part in the World Cup. #itscominghome IMHO Perkins took one look at the Doctor and knew that travelling with him would turn him into someone he wouldn’t recognise. Clara on the other hand in keeping with the theme of season 8 decided to lie to the Doctor and say it’s all Danny’s idea Not bad enough to make me wanna rage quit the show but barely enough to keep my attention. Heater.
