Also red dragon, the prequel to silence of the lambs. And the sequel Hannibal. Those would be awesome.

Does What Lies Beneath (2000) count as Psychological Thriller Google says it's a horror/mystery (same for the Sixth Sense)?

Jeff Boice

• Insomnia (2002) • Misery (1990) • Vertigo (1958) • The Life of David Gale (2003) The last one is a more drama than thriller but it came to mind. Insomnia, starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams, is a remake of a very dark 1997 Norwegian film of the same name. Kathy Bates is wonderfully creepy in Misery.

- Peeping Tom (1960) - Les Diaboliques (Diabolique in the US) (1955) - Les Yeux sans visage (Eyes Without a Face) (1960) French films have an undeserved reputation for being too intellectual. Here are a couple of really hecking intense French oldies and a nice British classic to boot.

🔶️Being John Malkovich (1999) 🔶️Adaptation (2001) 🔶️Magnolia (1999) 🔶️What Dreams May Come (1998) 🔶️Run Lola Run (1998) 🔶️Melancholia (2011) 🔶️Mother! (2017) 🔶️The Congress (2013) All brilliant. All mind-expanding. All thrilling. Open question: could "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas" be called a psychological thriller? If not, what genre would you say it is? Is it close enough to add it to the list?
