I can't wait to get more into this genre! I specifically didn't put "The Searchers" on this list because I want to watch more Westerns and more John Wayne before I watch one of the "most perfect movies ever made"...

Thank you all for being here! I am excited to see what will take the polls this week!

Kane Is Able

Young Guns 1 & 2 are definitely my favorite westerns.

Toc

Again, great poll!!! One of my top three favorite westerns is up there and I didn't even suggest it! Amazing! (My Darling Clementine.....a misleading title for one of the grittiest classic westerns!).

Catchermag

Ames just do us a favor and quit your job and just sit and watch all of these movies, mkay? Mkay, thanks 😊

RFK Fan

Some great choices but it should be a prerequisite for any reactor who HASN'T seen Dances with Wolves a priority. Not only because it's an amazing epic with one of the best film scores but mostly because it has everything Ames loves in movies. One of the few PERFECT films on my list.. (I define PERFECT as an entire movie without a single FALSE note. Where everything comes together perfectly)

Dale Taylor

Great choices on that list sweetie, you would love alot of em.

Clay F

Good poll. I voted for 8. Glad to see "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976) with an early lead (barely). Also, would be happy with "Dances with Wolves" (1990).

Don Dunco

I am SHOCKED that the original Magnificent Seven didn't make the list. Please react to it anyway later on in the year.

Gary Trousdale

Little Big Man was described by the late Russel Means, past head of A.I.M. (American Indian Movement) as the most accurate depiction of Plains Indian life ever filmed. Directed by Arthur Penn (Bonnie and Clyde), it deftly balances comedy and tragedy (amazingly without effing either one up). Dustin Hoffman plays a kind of Forrest Gump of the old west, interacting with historical figures and events. To this day it’s (IMHO) the best western ever made.

LaserLamb

Yay, Little Big Man! (One day it'll be watched by Ames....)💁🏻‍♂️ I see "Good, Bad & Ugly" is pulling ahead, but I'm of the humble opinion that 'A Fistful of Dollars' & 'For a Few Dollars More' should be watched before 'G,B & A', seeing as how they are a trilogy. What say everyone else?

Catchermag

I love Dances With Wolves and it’s a movie everyone should see, but to me that’s a drama that takes place during a certain time frame…..and not a Western. Anymore than Schindlers List is a war film or West Side Story is a gangster flick.

Reggie

I nominated The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly but I would like to also say that The Outlaw Josey Wales is a classic I really enjoy.

Kim

High Noon is a classic for a reason. Support Your Local Sheriff is a hoot and a half.😎
