Sort of off topic but on the topic of creature features, I just watched a French spider film called Infested. Think Arachnophobia on steroids, and with a serious tone. It was fantastic.

Oh hell yeah Quirky Dark Comedies! Feel so honored ☺️

VivendoBem

Lots of great choices! I'm sure he won't win, but after Ames mentioned on one of the lives that she didn't know who Paul Newman was, I eventually recovered from my heart attack and decided to hope to god that blue eyed devil can at least make a good showing in the final results.

Sorry it took me all day i was at my day job!

Toc

What a fun poll! I have no idea what's going to win!

John Courtright

Lots of good choices! Holding out for the Green Mile rewatch! 😆

RFK Fan

Fun choices! Glad to see DIRECTORS here. ❤️❤️

Stephen Knueppel

Most of my favorite movies are in the classics category, I hope it wins!!

Thomas Richter

What about Jackie Chan action comedy set in the old west? Shanghai Noon

Justtired

I couldn’t let mumblecore go with out at least one vote 🤣 I’d love to see you react to some early Kevin Smith films.

Daryl Hickman just recently died and I recall one of his early roles as a child-actor in "Leave Her to Heaven," (1945), with Gene Tierney. So, how about a Beautiful, cold, Psycho female killer? Imagine a row-boat on a serene, picturesque NY lake, on a Sunny day. What could go wrong? I think it scarred me for Life.

AJ

I tried but as soon as old classic entered the poll nothing else stood a chance

As if we needed further proof, I'm pretty sure no other reactor has a genre poll as cool as this. Ames is the best! And I'm glad to see that Paul Newman alone is crushing entire genres of movies 😂😂

Don H.

Love to see you rewatch Rounders, Ames! One of my all-time faves!

Somebody want to take a stab at explaining what "Battle of the Movie Stars" means? It currently has 9 votes so someone must know. For "Miracle Movies" I would have nominated the movie literally titled "Miracle" about the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team, but that only has 5 votes so, maybe in the future at some point.

Carl Lyngholm

oh... ok. Somehow I interpreted that title as Battle BETWEEN the Movie Stars, which essentially means the same thing, but I was thinking multiple movie stars in a singular movie engaged in some kind of "battle". Kind of threw me for a loop trying to pin down what the genre constraints of that category might be, if you understand what I'm saying. Thanks for the clarification.

Marc Fredrick

I'm sure you'll love these classics: Inherit the Wind, Philadelphia Story, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, and Strangers on a Train.

Clay F

Looks like Directors has a chance to overcome Classics. Would be cool to see what choices of directors are in a Directors poll.

Reggie

I'm looking forward to more Hitchcock directed films. :)
