GUYS!

I’m not gunna lie but I got so confused at the beginning LMAO. Such an epic fail in my part! I blame hanging out with kids and kittens all day ahahha!! I got my act together and realized what was happening so I had a good laugh at myself hahah! When I have blunders they are so hilarious!

Godzilla Minus 1 is a wild ride! The movie is incredibly well-made, with a heartbreaking storyline that keeps you hooked. I loved seeing everything from the Japanese perspective, and the actors did an amazing job. The lead character's arc is a classic hero’s journey, filled with powerful moments and memorable lines. The friendships in the film are great too. Overall, I enjoyed it, but not my fave movie. Interested to see more Godzilla though to understand his origins.

Let me know your thoughts down below!!

Thanks for watching it!! It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I’ll just go drink my tea at another table lol….tastes are different. I can’t stand the movie Grease!!!! It’s NOT THE FRIGGIN WORD!!

I wanted to watch to see your reaction the first time godzilla comes onshore but apparently now I have to check out this fail. This weekend. Super cool diverse week!

I loved Godzilla, Minus One but understand the concept of "to each his own". Least you were not disappointed with it. That movie, is the earliest version of Godzilla. The first original Godzilla movie came out in Japan in 1954. Minus One is based on 1946-1948 timeframe.

Where do I start?? I'm glad you enjoyed it Ames, I did not. I was so embarrassed after watching it I felt compelled to apologize to my wife for dragging her to see it in the theatre only AFTER the ALL the rave reviews convinced me to check it out. Listen... Don't get me wrong. I grew up on Godzilla and Gamera movies as a kid but for the life of me cannot understand the adulation of this film. The story was weak and the acting totally cheezy. The special effects were good yes but how this film was so universally adored is beyond me. I thought only die-hard Godzilla fans would enjoy it. Can anyone else clue me in on what I missed here??

If you want to see how far the special effects in Godzilla movies have come since the early days, Ames, just do a Google search using the words, "Godzilla dropkick".

It's probably because I'm as old as dirt and my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be, but one thing that has bothered me about this movie since I watched it... why would they need a dedicated repair base for Kamikaze planes?

For planes that were legitimately damaged so they could repair them and the pilot could take it back out. His was not damaged

Luke Wilson

I still love that this movie won an oscar for best VFX....and it was made for less than 15 million.... only a fraction of hollywood Godzilla movies.

Wow! I finally watched this when I saw there was a watch along. I'm so glad I got to see it, finally! It was a really great story. Super impressive and suspenseful the way the actors were happy then sad then happy again. Just overall an amazing movie.
