Oh wow, I love this movie. Yeah, this is one of my faves back in the day. It was just so fun. This is a great pick! ❤️🥸

It's a bit dated now I suppose but I always enjoyed watching Deniro play comedy as he's quite good at it ( We're No Angels and King of Comedy are his best) but the real juice behind this movie is Charles Grodin who makes EVERY film he's in better.. R.I.P. Charles...

Great movie that not many people never heard of or forgot about it until they hear the title. One of my favorites from back then that I of course forgot about!

I had never seen De Niro do comedy before. Even when he played a stand-up in King of Comedy, it was very dark. But when the guy I had seen in Deer Hunter and all the Scorsese movies and Godfather II spins around and flashes the badge after lifting it from Yaphet Kotto, it just put me on the floor.

Great movie, looking forward to the watchalong. Grodin is great in this.

OH MY GOD!!! Congrats to the winner!!!!!!! And to me too, I love this movie! In the words of Tiny Tim, "God Bless Us Everyone!" 😆

Congrats. I think I've watched but don't remember. Surely the interplay between De Niro and Grodin is good.

By the way, my entry "Glory" was the very next slot. So close, but I don't mind the winner here at all. That is a nice aspect of the Wheel -- good movies on the Wheel.

Charles Groden was exceptional, his dry humor and delivery and Dinero’s over the top character were the perfect mesh! Oh, and John Ashton (Beverly Hills cop) I am always happy to see him.🥸

This reminded me of a movie from around the same time that had the same feel, Diggstown (1992). James Woods and Louis Gosset Jr in a con movie

Glad Ames enjoyed the movie, though this one of those films you can't really imagine someone NOT enjoying. I seem to have won twice now (which makes me feel slightly guilty), but I hope everyone enjoyed watching (or rewatching) this film, it's one of my childhood favorites. One of De Niro's rare (though maybe not so much nowadays) comedic roles, and of course Charles Grodin is fantastic... every actor is, really... Thanks everyone.

This is one of the great buddy(?) films of all time. Great performances all around. This should be a fun watch.

A nice early holiday gift from you and Carl. DeNiro and Grodin display a chemistry rarely achieved; a perfect stylistic blend. Glad you talked up Danny Elfman's score. So much of his work seems to fall in either the whimsical or gothic categories. Here he delivers a down-home Chicago style blues; the perfect accompaniment to the proceedings. Looks like you had a good time watching. Kudos to Carl. 👍👍

Thanks Karl for picking a great movie everyone can enjoy

I watched this movie quite a few times as it was on HBO a lot in the early 90's. I have only rewatched it a few times int he last two decades, so this was a great revisit to a classic.

Luv this movie - when channel surfing, if I see this on - I drop the remote and settle in. One of my favorite De Niro flicks (alongside Ronin and Stardust) - and I can't get enough of Dennis Farina (Get Shorty, Snatch and Crime Story).
