Excuse me. I'd just like to ask a question. What do I need with a ST5 reaction? :-) :-P

I think the movie is fine, it won’t win any awards but I enjoyed seeing a story about the crew not trying to save the world but learning about each other. You are in for a surprise with the next movie 🍿

Regarding the effects, IIRC Industrial Light and Magic was busy working on Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, so this movie had to use a lesser FX house. They ended up cutting the ending with 'God' down a lot because most of it was not up to snuff

Kevin Barberie

The scene where Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are in the brig is my favorite part of this movie!

Scott Bergstrom

This movie gets a lot of hate, but I enjoy it. It's one of the few Star Trek movies that feels like a Star Trek episode.

St:5 was not my favorite as the story and effects were lacking, but I enjoyed the comedy and cheese of the jokes. I still quote it in daily conversation. St:6 will make up for it though.
