Rocky 3 (1982)

So cute watching Ames go full Rocky in these videos but that's the point. Nothing greater than rooting for the underdog (all the more reason why Ames needs to watch BREAKING AWAY ). No matter how many times you watch it, it always makes you feel the same way then that first viewing. Stallone deserves all the credit.

I see this one has Mr. T I remember back in the day seeing images or clips of Mr. T in the Rocky franchise

Cool can’t wait to see the reaction, guessing you enjoyed it

I pity the fool who doesn't love this reaction.

This one is a real roller coaster,a perfect movie! Yeah Stallone made Clubber to a great villain that people just hated,he was the total opposite of Rocky. And i always found it funny that Clubber said Rocky's fighting style was to predictable, and then got to cocky the 2nd fight. And the funny thing is when Rocky switched style Clubbers fighting style became predictable...the only thing that he had was power in his punches.

Buh….here I go. I’m saying all this just to say it. People have lives so feel free to ignore. This is a perfect trilogy. Rocky 4 is good too, definitely suggest it be watched, but 1-3 are all incredible. I had zero doubt Ames would love it. I know I sound like a broken record, but all three are not just Rocky’s journey, they’re also Apollo’s. We have Stallone to thank for that character, yes, but Carl Weathers made the role iconic. I posted a redacted version of the below when Ames first watched Rocky. I didn’t want to spoil Rocky 3. But now, no spoilage. Here goes. I posted this to Facebook right after the man died, just over a year ago. “It may sound silly, but Apollo Creed meant a lot to me. He was an antagonist (but not a villain) who earned the respect he had in Rocky, kept that respect despite losing in Rocky 2, gave that respect as a mentor in Rocky 3, *redacted for Rocky 4 spoils*. He taught me that the person you may fight one day is the person that grounds you the next. He pushed himself and Rocky to find each others limits no matter how painful it may be. I rooted for him, even when I wasn’t supposed to. When I met Carl Weathers at a convention last year in Atlanta, I couldn’t have been more excited. He was experiencing a renaissance in his career in the Star Wars universe, acting in and directing several Mandalorian episodes, and he deserved the renewed recognition. He was very casual and chatty with me. There was no one else there in line, so I was lucky enough to meet the man and not feel rushed. We cracked wise about how my asking him to sign an autograph for my wife was my way of apologizing to her for her not being there, and how smart that was. “You have to keep her happy” he chuckled as he scribbled ‘This is the way’ and signed the photo from The Mandalorian. He asked me where I was from, and when I told him Orange County he perked up and almost yelled “We’re neighbors! Everyone in Southern California is!”. Man, you don’t know how happy meeting a hero made me. Of course I was just another fan to him but in that moment I felt like he was racing me on a beach, and that I was keeping up. When I heard about his passing today, I was shocked. He looked so healthy….. and hell, STRONG when I saw him. A mountain of a man. Apollo. Dillon. Action fucking Jackson. To quote him in Rocky 3….There is no tomorrow.” Glad I could post this now. There is no tomorrow. Thanks for watching this Ames, and thank you for the person who chose Rocky as their WOW spin that started you down this road. On a lighter note, the year after this was released Mister T made his lead film role debut in D.C. Cab. A stinker, but I enjoyed it as a kid. The best thing about that movie was a FANTASTIC song by Irene Cara called The Dream.

Great reaction Ames, but you being unfamiliar with Bob Hope made me realize how old I am! LOL

Robert Berry

One of my favorite training montages in the Rocky franchise! Also love seeing him being polished up from a slugger to a boxer (yes... boxing afficionados it's a movie, but SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF! 😂)

I love the Rocky movies. These watch a longs have been so fun. I'm gonna throw a change up and focus on Mr T. He pushes Rocky 3 over the top for me. Every line delivery is perfect. Unreal level of intensity. He's funny without being ridiculous. Even the heavy breathing at the end of Round 2 is amazing. Had to be such a fun role to play.

VivendoBem

Paulie's the true hero of these movies. A selfless, endlessly supportive, loyal and loving family man with an admirable and highly evolved cultural sensitivity to the plight of his minority brothers. Not to mention he's as handsome as the day is long and devilishly charming and witty. What a guy!

Ryan Gonzalez

Rocky is just good Rocky is so good, that I feel like I always forget right in the middle of it that it’s fiction and I’m rooting for a character that doesn’t even exist There’s something so special about Apollo and Rocky teaming up here, picking up the torch where Rocky and Mickey parted ways And the way Rocky cried over Mickey? I can’t think of a more realistic way that I’ve ever truly cried about anything Hard to get me to that point but when I do it, it’s like that: just this walrus barking sound. Maybe been to that point once or twice in my life so it’s really tearful when I watch cause it’s so realistic It’s so good Amazing reaction Ames! You knocked this reaction out the ring, and you pitied the fool while you did it! So good

That was just such an incredible reaction. You laughed, you cried, you despaired, you cheered. The Rocky series is just an unforgettable roller coaster. And Stallone had another great movie that year: First Blood. Just another great release in that incredible year of 1982. Not only Rocky III and Rambo, but you know, Tootsie was 1982, and so was Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, ET: The Extraterrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Poltergeist, The Thing, Sophie's Choice, Conan The Barbarian, 48 Hours, The Verdict, Victor/Victoria, Gandhi, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The World According To Garp, The Thing, Tron, An Officer and A Gentleman, and Blade Runner. Plus the “small films” that were not great hits and “flew under the radar” has some fantastic gems in there” The Beastmaster, Night Shift, Young Doctors In Love, Pink Floyd: The Wall, Zapped!, My Favorite Year, Kiss Me Goodbye, Deathtrap, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, a little movie called Porky's and one of my favs Summer Lovers. What a year at the movies!!

Wade Wallenstein

Now that was a reaction! I remember watching this in the late 80s and was so surprised by “Thunderlips” lol Can’t wait for the next one!

Great reaction. Your Rocky and Star Trek reactions are the best. I can't wait to see you react to Rocky Balboa.

While I love this trilogy I hope you don’t stop. 4 is great. 5 not so much. 6 is good and I really like the Creed movies. At the very least I hope 4 is on the horizon at some point. Your reactions are fantastic on these.
