I WILL enjoy!! As an 80’s kid who had to dive under a desk during nuclear bomb drills (as if that we’re going to save us) there’s nothing wrong with a good East Vs West movie that doesn’t include guns.

Thank you

Rocky V is the least of them BUT it is not nearly as bad as it’s made out AND it’s critically important to the Rocky Balboa wrap up (which score is right up there with IV! And is still in my opinion, one of the best wrap ups to a franchise that’s ever been done and I think you would love it!) And if you’re going to watch any of the Creed movies missing V and IV would be a tragedy! 🙏🙏🙏

Rocky 5 is so underrated and a must watch, especially going into Rocky Balboa (aka Rocky 6).

Fun fact: Composer Vince Dicola, who did the music score for Rocky 4 in 1985, also did the music score for Transformers: The Movie a year later, and there's a lot of similar music used in both films.

Do NOT skip Rocky 5 or Rocky Balboa (aka Rocky 6). Like the previous films, each movie builds on the next, and the first Creed film is essentially Rocky 7. Also, Rocky 5 is an underrated gem, with Stallone and Talia Shire doing some of their best character work as Rocky and Adrian since the first 2 movies. Plus, Rocky 5 returns to the tone of the first 2 films, away from the flashy 90 minute music video that was Rocky 4 (which I still love). And Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6) is as powerful and emotional as the first 2 films.

I like Rocky and Rocky 2 better than Rocky 4. I liked your reaction. Sad to see Carl Weathers go -- Apollo was a great character. I vote "no" on Rocky 5. You could read what happens in Rocky 5 to prepare for the Balboa reaction. Yet, you seem to be loving the franchise, so react to Rocky 5 if you want. I want to watch Creed (2015), which I have not seen.

I just joined your channel tonight to watch Rocky 4. Excited to watch all the other stuff. Just a few things. Well not quite as awesome as part 4, Rocky 5 is still a pretty good show. Dolph Lundgren is a very impressive person. He was 6‘5“. 260 pounds. 1980 1981 and 1982. He was a national Full Contact karate champion. He had a fourth-degree black belt in karate. He also was a genius. He had a degree in chemical engineering and won a scholarship to MIT. However, he was noticed when he was a bodyguard and put into movies because of his size and his looks. Stallone wanted to make the film as real looking as possible so they actually hit each other a lot in the movie and Dolph actually put Stallone in the hospital for four days by bruising his heart and almost killed him.

This one is my personal favourite I had it on video and man the training montage with vince decola's music I bloody wore the tape out lol. Dolph in this was epic and I'm glad you see it isn't all on him. But it's two countries trying to out do the other. I liked dolph Lundgren in a few films he certainly could play the good guy and wasn't afraid to play a bad guy either. Awesome reaction lovely ames girl.

Great reaction Ames! Not much to add for this one. Yeah Apollo dying was brutal! I grew up during the Cold War 80s and it was definitely a thing. Not as much as the 50s/60s Cold War with the real real threat of nukes in Cuba holy shit I couldn’t imagine. Anywho, just wanted to say that one main song in this one “Burning Heart” was done by Survivor who did “Eye of the Tiger”. As for Rocky 5, yeah it’s not as good as the others, but not terrible either, but like Star Trek 5 sometimes you just have to eat your veggies! Thanks and keep up the good work!

Kyle Bashaw

I’ve been loving watching your reactions to the Rocky movies they’ve made me appreciate these films even more. You definitely have to do 5.

Eric Lucas

Rocky has got to be one of the greatest series of movies in all of history. Thanks for the great watch along with this true classic.

saw this movie around the time when it first came out, I was a 20 something newly commissioned officer in the Regular Army, a 2nd Lieutenant, and Reagan was the president, and it was right in the middle of the cold war and Russian was the so-called Evil Empire. We all knew back in the early 80's that we would have to fight Russian, there was all this fear about nuclear war at the time. This TV movie called The Day After was watched by millions " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOPaaHSjMcw" and they even had a serious round table after the movie with politician, scientists and member of the administration to talk about nuclear war :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcCLZwU2t34". And the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster happened just a few months after I watched Rocky. It was a very tense time, but the world survived. The next Rocky, Rocky V was ok, but to keep the death of Appollo in your mind you might want to watch Creed soon if you haven’t seen that yet. It is about t Apollo’s son and an excellent movie with the great Michale B. Jordan. OH by the way there is a Chernobyl mini series on HBO and it’s amazing!
