Hey Everyone!!!

FYI: If anyone has been confused, I had previously posted at the beginning of August that I decided to change up the polls for the month, and do a bunch of the runner-ups! The winner of the poll was Snatch, and the runner-ups were: Napoleon Dynamite, Cool Hand Luke, Blade Runner 2049, and Dave! I said if I had time, I may also add Hot Shots! and Scarface! I will be getting nominations going as soon as possible for the next poll!

TNG Tuesday - Season 3 Episode 2 "The Ensigns of Command"

Thursday - Napoleon Dynamite (2004) YT Edit

AFI Friday - It Happened One Night (1934) I have no idea what I am in store for!!

Poll Runner-up - Blade Runner 2049 (2017) so so stoked for this one! Been a year since I watched the Original DC of Blade Runner, which I loved! I am most excited for Dennis Villeneuve and Roger Deakins (which I didn't know teamed up for this until just now). It's gunna be so rad!

I hope everyone is having the best August! There have been a lot of Forest fires here on Vancouver Island, but we got a lot of rain this weekend, so I'm thankful for that. I've been getting out on Hikes and loving the summer weather! I really want to see some movies in the theatre, but now it's always a debate about whether to wait and watch them here! But, going to the theatre is one of my favourite things to do, especially with my besties or even alone!

Let me know what you are getting up to!

Thanks so much for all the support here! It means a lot!

From 1934........to 2049! Ames has got it covered! Was psyched last week, I'm psyched this week.....I daresay I'll be psyched next week too! 😂

Still hoping you’ll find time to react to Sex, Lies, and Videotape soon!! It’s really good.

I have been looking forward to you watching It Happened One Night. It is one of Capra's best and it went on to influence so many other great films. Hope you have fun and enjoy it!

Stoked for BR 2049.. I thought Denis did an amazing job recreating that world that Ridley gave us in 81' and was a more than worthy sequel. Didn't do well at the Box office which blew me away. I have a feeling you wont be disappointed..

Solid week. I would urge Ames to go see whatever movie she wants in the theater because I wouldn't want this to become more of a burden than it already is. But also, I've noticed that most new movies, no matter how successful at the box office they are, tend not to do that well for reactors, at least on youtube. It seems people who watch reactors like to see them watch things they know very well and have become attached to over the years rather than the big new thing, even if it's great.

I didn't realize you were on the island. Isn't that where they filmed all the Stargate SG-1 shows? It would be cool to trapse around those locations! I'm usually out west on vacation this time of year, but expenses kept me from it this year. I was out west for 3 months last year. It's wonderful out there. I went to WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, UT, CO, NV, CA, AZ and NM. But this time of year, the fires usually are bad. I may have to try going out there in the spring next time. I do want to go to BC the next time I'm out west. That's where Al Quiring and Jamie Davis, stars of the TV show Highway Thru Hell live and work. I'd love to get some photos and autographs. That'd be neat, eh? There's also lots on intriguing geology in BC and Vancouver Island. Being an "Amateur" geologist, I find it very interesting out west. There's a guy I've met once or twice that's a geology professor at Vancouver Island University, Jerome Lesemann. It'd be good to see him again, too. He's an interesting guy. Take care of yourself and keep up the reactions. I really enjoy them (or at least the reactions to the movies I like). PS: I hope to see a reaction to LOTR Return Of The King soon (please).

Blade Runner 2049 is great! Excited for more TNG!

Really looking forward to "Dave." When it came out, I recall that some reviewers likened it to a Frank Capra movie.

"I've been getting out on Hikes" Farewell to Nova Scotia... 🎵 :-) :-( "I really want to see some movies in the theatre, but now it's always a debate about whether to wait and watch them here!" I think I speak for us all when I encourage you to watch movies in the theatre. Just make sure they're the bad ones. Perhaps you could get your local theatre(s) to have showings of the newest War of the Worlds! :-P

I'm always hyped for more TNG! :) Love that show! Blade Runner 2049's not exactly my movie of choice but it isn't bad at all. :) This'll be a good week! Oh! I'm completely in the dark with the AFI movie so I'm hoping that I'll dig on it. :)

There are 3 Blade Runner short films you can find on YouTube. They setup Blade Runner 2049 with some of the history. They are meant to be watched before seeing the movie.
