The first 10 minutes montage is incredible and moving. As you get older, I'm just over mid way I'd reckon, the concept of time and usage thereof becomes a bigger and bigger theme. I find it very interesting subject, but it's also the realization that the clock is always ticking. An awareness you didn't have in your youth and very little in your 20's. Perhaps somewhere in your 30's is the first time you start looking back. I knew you wouldn't keep a dry eye and I must admit, neither did I. It's been some years since I saw it, but I did remember the Elie parts in particular. It's all about the journey with the people around you. The dogs were funny. It makes me think of a short movie which won an Oscar some years back. It's called Father and daughter (by Dudok de Wit). It's about 9 minutes long and available on YouTube. It's like a moving painting with beautiful music and tells a touching story in a creative way that resonates with almost everybody. Could be great as a bonus reaction to this, but mostly I would just recommend everybody to just watch it.

Enjoyed your reaction with my 1st full watch. I've had maybe 5 partial watches over the years. My kids loved the movie. I thought the voice of Carl might be Ed Asner. During this watch, I thought about dialogue by an older middle-aged guy in a 2014 miniseries (I am rewatching) that stuck with me: "realize that the good years came and went" "life slipped through your fingers" "the future is behind you" But here there is future ahead for the older Carl w/o his wife. The house lands safely at Paradise Falls, fulfilling Ellie's dream, while Carl embraces his new life with Russell. Sharing the ice cream was a nice touch.

I'll watch this sometime this week but I'd have to wager that you went through 10-15 tissues for this one easily

Agreed: a banger of a reaction! My reaction too, I was weeping my face off at times! The first fifteen minutes alone is a MASTERPIECE. Thanks, Ames!! I never would have seen this otherwise!!! (also thanks to MR. Ames, who brilliantly suggested it, knowing you would love it, and that it would make a great reaction video! :D ). I'd say definitely edit it for You Tube.......but then you'd have to cry for hours and hours more!!!! :D
