Hey Everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while I got the schedule out for this week! My week was a bit intense so I thought I’d take it easy this week 🤣

TNG Tuesday - S4xE16 “Galaxy‘s Child”. I actually quite enjoyed this episode and had a lot of fun with it! Been absolutely loving season 4, diff than what I expected!

Saturday - Mulholland Drive (2001) I’ve been craving a David Lynch film for a while and this one has been on my list forever! This will be out later Saturday afternoon PDT.

Sunday- 300 (2006) I can’t wait to finally see the abs everyone was going nuts about back in 2006! This wasn’t a movie that interested me back then and avoided, but it’s been on my bucket list since I started the channel. So here we are!

Should we do anything fun for the World Cup coming up in June?? Let me know your thoughts!

Back to regular schedulesd programming next week and polls! Thank you all for being here and supporting me on Patreon and YouTube! I’m forever grateful to have you here to watch and enjoy films with me!

❤️❤️❤️

There aren't many football (soccer) movies, but there are a handful of good ones. I'm still very fond of Gregory's Girl (1981), a charming little coming of age romcom with football.

Great week. Looking forward to 300 and Mulholland Drive. I would likely participate if the channel did something for the World Cup. My hometown Houston is hosting 7 World Cup matches in June. I don't know soccer (global football) rules well, or watch much soccer but when I do, I enjoy it. Entertaining. My niece is good in soccer. I hope she gets a college scholarship to play. Two soccer movies I like are "Bend It Like Beckham" (2002) and "The Damned United" (2009).

Ohhh. You’re diving into David Lynch, who is bar none right up there with Kubrick as far as my favorite directors & storytellers. And Mulholland Drive is his masterpiece, in my opinion. There’s tons of analysis & folklore online about this movie, and Lynch was always so cryptic about explaining anything, which is always part of the fun diving into his works. Excited for this one!!

Perhaps attach a random movie from a (yet to be determined) list to each team and watch the finalists.

If you haven’t seen it, a fun and slightly off-the-wall soccer film is Shaolin Soccer (2001), from actor/director Stephen Chow, who also did Kung Fu Hustle (2004); another very fun film. Also fun, that run-on sentence I just made. 😎

Whoah! Starting right in the deep end with Lynch! Hoo hoo! Let's go, Naomi! As far as soccer movies......I saw someone mentioned Gregory's Girl, which I love. I don't think of that as a soccer movie per se but it does have soccer in it! The only full blown soccer movie I can think of is Clint Eastwood's "Invictus", with Matt Damon, which I remember being good. There's a cool moment of animated soccer in the Eleanor Rigby section of "Yellow Submarine"! Does that count? :P. (EDIT: Invictus is a rugby movie, I stand corrected! Ha!)

Excited to see what you think of 300 Ames. There is a great Indian soccer movie Maidaan (2024) inspired by the life of the coach and manager of the Indian football team Syed Abdul Rahim and the golden age of Indian soccer. Great performance by Ajay Devgn. Would highly recommend checking it out.

Two bangers with A LOT to react to. LFG

It's a guilty pleasure, but I love the WW2 soccer film with Micheal Caine and Sylvester Stallone, "Victory". It's not deep, but it's fun. Kind of works for Memorial Day, as well

‘Goal the dream begins’ is an amazing soccer movie!!
