I'm pretty sure I've only seen this once since i was a kid, and that was a bunch of years ago. Really looking forward to seeing it again! What a double feature!

Sweet! Thanks for posting a fun watchable movie as a backup option to Malick. LMAO UPDATE: That was a joke cause I'm a troll, but just watched and this movie is amazing. Top half of the list for me. Animation is still thriving. Everyone should watch. It looks GREAT. It's properly dark. And I'm just laughing and crying at all the woke people involved in butchering the remake. They got what they deserved.

Love the classic hand drawn animated films from Disney. There is something special about them and you can see the hard work that went into making them. Brothers Grimm don't mess around. Things get really dark in their tales. This movie gets lots of criticism these days. Some find issue with the dwarfs, some with fair skin meaning beautiful (though some take it to mean Sonw White was the fairest of them all because she was beautfiul inside and out) and some with her dream only being about love and then there is the whole saved by a man thing. As far as evil stepmothers go I'd say that Disney started their full lenght animation films strong with this one. Lucille La Verne did a fantastic job being evil. Originally the voice actors where not credited at all because Walt wanted the people to only think about the characters. The characters were the stars not the actors. In a way that is still true with the legacy characters that have been voiced by multiple people by now. As far as classic Disney movies go you should check out the original Parent Trap (1961) and Pollyanna (1960) both starring the Disney legend Hayley Mills who was personally picked by Walt himself. Love both of these.

Enchanted is a fun live action mixture of Disney classics. I know you said live action isn't your cup of tea. But I still think you'll enjoy it

Such a pivotal movie in not only Disney's history but animation itself. No one thought an animation could be a full length movie until Walt proved it could be done and could hold the attention of the audience with this film. Logistics, storytelling and technique of animation were completely changed after this.

Walt Disney literally risked everything he had in order to get this movie made. He put the future of his studio on the line, actually mortgaging his own house when the film went way over budget. But Walt truly believed in it, was willing to take the chance, and history was made. PS - Now that you've seen Snow White, Ames, you really have to watch Bambi and Dumbo with us!!
