A haunting, twisted tragedy that leaves you unsettled. A slow-burn horror at its finest. It’s a deliberate, psychological unease that grips you from start to finish. The performances are outstanding across the board, with Inde Navarrete delivering one of the most memorable performances ever. The sound design and score are standouts, elevating every scene, while the tight, claustrophobic aspect ratio, tension-building pull-ins, and moody, shadow-drenched cinematography give the film its unsettling visual identity. I don't know where this movie will sit amongst my fave horrors, it hasn't topped it, but it was a fresh look at the genre, which I most appreciate.

enjoy!

I get the guy made some mistakes but he didn't find some buried mystical lamp and make the wish, he bought some $5 trinket at a gift shop. How would he know it was real

I was planning to go see this in the theater, probably next Monday, because I love watching horror moves with an audience. But I will be there for your reaction video, Ames.

"I want my $6.99 back!" 😂😂 Is this a true story? Like the director used his one wish to make a kick ass movie? 😆 jk great movie, great reaction 👍 keep up the good work

Thanks Ames. I probably wouldn't have watched this, but you motivated me to rent it. I really enjoyed it and your reaction. I assumed the spell ended but I wondered if she remembered it all.

When she peed on the rug all I could think was, what a shame, that rug really tied the room together.

FYI… This is now available on Peacock in the US. Inde Navarrette is clearly the breakout role here. She jumped off the screen. And was creepy as fuck in several scenes, where you couldn’t make out her face, other than a creepy & haunting pair of dimly lit eyes. So unnerving! Without going into too many spoilers, I was NOT ok with a story arc plot point of serving up a to go sandwich to our lead awkward dude to take to work, nor did I believe that he’d shrug off that afterwards the way that he did! 🤢 🤮 Overall, good, but not great imho. However, bravo to the next batch of storytellers out there getting their art out. 👏👏👏👏
