I'm qualifying my vote for the Theatrical Cut by saying if you don't find a copy, the Final Cut is definitely the next one I would fall back on. Some longer scenes are cut back once again from Redux, but the story moves forward at a better pace, and some of the mystery around the characters is restored, which I appreciated.

None are on open streaming right now by the looks of it. However on prime and YouTube the 148min (2hr 28min) version is available. The redux edition is also available on prime which will likely be most people's source I would think of your US viewers. Can't really say for Canadian sources but I suspect similar.

Is it in French on Apple TV in Canada? Seems like Apple has the 2h27m version, just like Amazon Prime in the US

Don’t buy a dvd player Ames lol just do the Final Cut The dedication is real tho 🙌🏽

Why can’t there be just one version Coppola! LOL ya this whole French thing is annoying!! Also my vpn doesn’t work because I don’t have an American credit card - gotta figure out a way around that loop hole ! Thanks for ur inputs! I just like watching things sometimes as the world did when it came out as a first time watch… but we’ll see what shakes out in this poll

The theatrical cut is 2h 33m Redux is 3h 22m and has maybe 5 or 10 minutes of extra stuff worth seeing. Find an abandoned Blockbuster video and watch it on VHS if you have to but do the theatrical cut. Redux has a lot of stuff that's probably great for film students who've seen the original 50 times.

Theatrical NO QUESTION… no bigger fan of this EPIC than me but I never liked the Redux version. Like the Directors cut of Amadeus? They added a handful of deleted scenes that once you see them you understand WHY they were cut to begin with… I also own the DOSSIER DVD so I suggest you buy a good all format/region Blu-ray Player which you should be able to get locally for around $80. (Sadly a must have for any movie buff with her own Patreon site) This way you watch it as we all did when it was released in 79 and if you admire it as much as we do? Then maybe try the other 2 releases. And PLEASE tell me Ames you’re NOT watching these films on your computer monitor!!! 😵😵😵😵

As much as I would like to recommend the Theatrical Cut. If it's in fact not currently streaming anywhere, then I would go with the Final Cut. If you just wanted to check this movie out like a normal person, maybe it would be worth it to hunt down a physical copy of the Original, but with the idea being that it's supposed to be a watch along, anybody who didn't have a physical copy of the Theatrical Cut would also have to buy one, which obviously isn't ideal. As someone else already pointed out, the Final Cut is streaming on Google Play and Youtube, while the Redux is on Amazon Prime (though it seems the Thumbnail says its the Final Cut for some reason). But yeah, go with the Final Cut. The Redux is interesting in its own way, but too long and not really meant for the first time viewer, imo...

It's all horrible! The whole movie is crazy, and dirty, and gross! I've only seen the theatrical (was way too young). Any version is gonna take you on drug filled roller coaster ride. Hey, you should bring Mel! Lol

Apocalypse Now deserves to be seen in HD/4K. It's a masterpiece.

i did find the theatrical version on Cineplex! do not hate me voters as I really appreciate the love for the final cut, which I feel like I will have to watch as well after I watch the theatrical!

I recommend the theatrical version (available to stream on Prime) but would watch the Final Cut (better than Redux) if you so choose. Thanks for planning the reaction.
