29th of August, 2024
"One day, Alexandre, this picture of you in prison will be real. Mark my words..." - Elon (@elonmusk), th of August, 2024.
■ TESLA $TSLA ($206.28, +0.26%):
- Deutsche Telekom, an affiliate of T-Mobile, will be part of an e-car challenge against DHL to see who can reach their goals faster and more efficiently. They will be using their Tesla Telekom Mobility Solutions Service vehicle. They will drive 777 km from Bonn, Germany, to Copenhagen, Denmark.
- According to Reuters, the Delaware High Court has warned Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick in the Elon Pay Package case. The Court told McCormick earlier this month that these massive paydays can "turn into a windfall." A Windfall Profit is a profit that occurs suddenly as a result of an event not controlled by the company or person realizing the gain. In others words, it is undeserved. McCormick must now weigh two decisions; the request for the huge fee, and whether the June Tesla shareholders actually restored the pay package, in which case a large fee should not be appropriate.
- Ryan Wallace, owner of Texas Solar Professional, has an employee wanting to go solar now that the Powerwall 3 is available. According to Ryan, "We hooked him up and he came up with the most Texas install I have ever seen!" It really does look good.
- The new Tesla Showroom in Perth (O'Conner), Australia, is opening on Saturday. Here are some more pics before this weekend's official opening.
- Tesla's Senior Recruiter for the Manufacturing Development Program (MDP), Aimee Frugoli, welcomed their August MDP team. "We had 38 talented individuals start on Monday and they are on their way to earning their Production Operator Certificate through our Manufacturing Development Program (MDP). They are all eager to grow and make a significant impact and I'm so happy they are on their way with their new careers."

- If you have seen this video, let me explain what happened. The driver of this Cybertruck slammed into a fire hydrant in Harlingen, Texas. Not sure what caused him to do that, but it so hard that it somehow punctured the battery. Look at the side damage and flat tire on the passenger side. The vehicle caught on fire because the fire hydrant poured water into the battery. This was confirmed by Assistant Fire Chief Ruben Balboa of the Harlingen Fire Department. This was not caused by a manufacture defect.
- EV LIVE at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, UK, announced that Tesla will return to from the 13th - 15th of September. A Model Y and Model 3 Performance will be available for test drives.
- Good Faith Energy (@GoodFaithEnergy) is in Bedford, Texas, with their Model Y at a recent install of a 16.8 kW Solar System and 2 Powerwall 3s.
- Quicksilver Model Y on display in a Tesla Tokyo Showroom.

- Falcon 9 Starlink transits the moon by Cosmic Perspective (@considercosmos). "A beautiful tribute to veteran booster B1062."
- A Shortfall of Gravitas, droneship for the failed landing of booster B1062, is heading back for Port Canaveral. At its current speed it should arrive late Thursday night or early Friday morning. That's when we will get our first glimpse of the booster and if any damage occurred to the ship.
- Per NASA on the FAA grounding of Falcon 9, "The agency will be included in the investigation to understand the issue and path forward. NASA will provide updates on agency missions including potential schedule impacts, if any, as more information becomes available."
- Dragon recovery ship Shannon was spotted at the Port of Tampa, waiting for the FAA to resume Falcon 9 flights and the Polaris Dawn mission. Pic is by RollPanTilt (@Rollpantilt).
- Polaris Dawn Captain Jared Isaacman (@rookisaacman) recently posted, "Just need the splashdown weather forecasts to cooperate."
- Just Read the Instructions, the Polaris Dawn droneship, made a stop in Charleston, South Carolina, and is heading out back to the booster landing zone and not back to Cape Canaveral. That is positive.
- "Stormbase," by Jack Beyer (@thejackbeyer) for @NASASpaceflight. Amazing pic of the Two Towers and a lightning strike at Starbase.
- The FAA has found the CNBC allegations that SpaceX violated the Clean Water Act were unable to be verified. The FAA will recommence the process of evaluating the proposed increase in launch cadence at Starbase. The FAA will release a Revised Draft Tiered Environmental Assessment and reschedule the public comment period and public meetings that were previously canceled. The dates, times, and locations of the public meetings will be posted at least 30 days in advance of the meetings.
- Starship Gazer (@StarshipGazer) notice a little bit of work on the Chopsticks today... just a little... We could probably stick a few more boom lifts in there. SpaceX is installing bumper pads.
