■ SPACEX:
- Today, Falcon 9 Hera launched from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Hera is a mission in development at the European Space Agency's (ESA) Space Safety program. Its primary objective is to study the Didymos binary asteroid system that was impacted by DART and contribute to validation of the kinetic impact method to deviate a near-Earth asteroid with a colliding trajectory with Earth. It will measure the size and the morphology of the crater created by and momentum transferred by an artificial projectile impacting an asteroid. This will allow measuring the efficiency of the deflection produced by the impact. It will also analyze the expanding debris cloud caused by the impact.
This is the 23rd and final flight for the booster. It previously launched Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, Transporter-4, Transporter-5, Globalstar FM15, ISI EROS C-3, Korea 425, Maxar 1, ASBM, and 10 Starlink missions. Due to the additional performance required to deliver Hera to interplanetary transfer orbit, the booster will be expended in the Atlantic Ocean.
- Per the FAA, "The SpaceX Falcon 9 vehicle is authorized to return to flight only for the planned Hera mission... The FAA has determined that the absence of a second stage reentry for this mission adequately mitigates the primary risk to the public in the event of a reoccurrence of the mishap experienced with the Crew-9 mission. Safety will drive the timeline for the FAA to complete its review of SpaceX’s Crew-9 mishap investigation report and when the agency will authorize Falcon 9 to return to regular operations."

- Early Sunday morning, Booster 11’s Aft Dome was moved from the Port of Brownsville to Massey's Outpost. After unloading, the salvage ship HOS Ridgewind left the Port of Brownsville and is now headed for Louisiana. That means it's the end of the salvage operation .Pics by Jack Beyer (@thejackbeyer) and Anthony Gomez (@AnthonyFGomez).
- This past Saturday, SpaceX's Jessie Anderson (@whoisheartbreak) attended the 2024 Children's Hospital Gala at The Event Deck in downtown Los Angeles. Not only is she the voice of SpaceX, she does a ton of charity work for St. Jude, Children's, and more.

- Michel's (@Mic_VegasSphere) Vegas LOOP Update (follow Michel!):
South Hall Convention Center Station. You can see the progress of the installation of the cement block roof from last week. This part goes really fast. The crane lifts the blocks one by one as workers position them. Per Michel, "IMO this will end up very similar to the Riviera station over by Fontainebleau / West Hall north entrance. An underground junction with a car ramp to the surface for boarding. Most likely the turn around will be where their boneyard is today."
