■ TESLA $TSLA ($394.36, -4.06%):
- A Model Y Juniper was spotted in San Francisco by OnlyBuyaTesla (@OnlyBuyATesla).
- Today the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into Actually Smart Summon on 2.6 million Teslas. This is based on 4 reports where the vehicles failed to detect posts, or parked vehicles, when they were operating on ASS. Per NHTSA, "users had too little reaction time to avoid a crash, either with the available line of sight or releasing the phone app button, which stops the vehicle's movement."
- The Menlo Park PD's Model Y trial unit.
- An EU filing today shows Stellantis, Toyota, Ford, Mazda, and Subaru are planning to pool carbon emissions with Tesla to comply with the European Union's 2025 rules. These automakers are facing tougher emissions rules and plan to buy carbon credits from Tesla to avoid fines.
- For 2024, over 20k vehicles were delivered in Belgium.
- Cybertruck in Chongqing, China, by Ding Man Loves Photography.
- Today, Tesla asked a Swedish court to ensure that the country's Transport Agency provides access to licence plates that are blocked by postal workers involved in the IF Metall labour conflict.
- American Home Contractors posted a comparison (1st pic) of snow shedding on a Tesla Solar Roof vs a traditional asphalt shingle roof. Notice the reduced snow on the middle house. The Tesla Roof design allows snow to slide off more efficiently, reducing buildup and protecting the roof from winter damage. Faster snow shedding means less weight and stress on your roof and improved energy generation as panels clear faster for maximum sun exposure.
