- On Monday, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) designated CATL and other Chinese companies linked to China's military. As of now, this designation does not involve any restrictions on CATL's business in the U.S, but it does serves as a warning to U.S. entities, like Tesla, about the risks of doing business with them. It can also add pressure on the U.S. Treasury Department to sanction the company. Tesla and CATL have been working on an agreement to license CATL's battery tech production at Giga Nevada and a deal is expected to launch in 2025. CATL is also set to supply battery cells and packs to the new Shanghai Megafactory.
- New video of the Model Y Juniper has been posted by Yann Masoch (@yannmasoch). Per Yann, "I think it is the Performance version because the rims look the same 20" rims we saw on the model 3 performance before. There is a vent on the side of the front bumper. My car is also a Y performance with the same color, and side-by-side the two cars were almost similar in height and ground clearance."
- Non-Foundation Series AWD Cybertruck and Cyberbeast are now in Tesla's new online inventory for the U.S.
- The Tesla Madeleine Store in Paris, France.
- For 2024, the Model Y was Sweden's most popular vehicle for the second year in a row. 18,293 Model Ys were registered (16,461 in 2023). The Model 3 hit 3,477 registrations (3,016 in 2023).

- Delaware Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick read her ruling today that Tesla board members including Chair Robyn Denholm and James Murdoch are to return roughly $277 million in cash, $459 million in stock options and to forgo stock options for 2021-23 worth $184 million ($919 million) back to Tesla. The is a settlement to resolve allegations they overpaid themselves.
- Alexandra Merz (@TeslaBoomerMama) made us aware that directly registered TSLA shareholders can now request share certificates. You have to directly register your shares, then request the certificates from the transfer agent. These certificates show Tesla is incorporated in Texas.
