"Not many Spartans are needed to win battles..." - Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA $TSLA ($383.60, -5.19%):
- Per Elon, "Unsupervised full self-driving begins." Last week Teslas at the Fremont Factory started driving themselves "unsupervised" from the production line to the End of Line. Starting today, Model Ys at Giga Texas are following suit.
- With the new Teslas driving themselves to the End of Line, Ashok Elluswamy (@aelluswamy), stated that camera calibration is now done automatically as the vehicle moves through the manufacturing line.
- Don't forget, according to Elon, Tesla will launch Cybercab unsupervised in Austin in June as pay to ride program. Who is meeting up in Austin to be some of the first to try it out?! Me!
- You can now save $2,500 off a new Model 3 through the referral program. The referrer still only gets $500 in credits, not $1k as before, with a limit of 10 referrals per calendar year. So, do we play the game and wait until they bump it back up to $1k for the referrer. It's a difference of up to $5k or $10k in credits on the year. My opinion is that the program should be set at a max of $10k per year, not 10 referrals. Then Tesla should play with the payout throughout the year for promotional purposes.
- One of the first new Model Ys produced at Giga Berlin was signed by the team.
- Poland's Minister of Sports and Tourism, Slawomir Nitras, has called for a boycott of Tesla after Elon spoke at an AfD event over the weekend. "There is no justification for any reasonable Pole to continue purchasing Teslas. A serious and strong response is necessary, including a consumer boycott."
- These Powerwalls are inside a Dentist office in Japan, helping to make energy sustainable and respond to power outages.
- Canada's former finance minister, Chrystia Freeland, wants Canada to place a 100% tariff on Teslas in retaliation for President Donald Trump's 25% tariff he placed on Canada. Per Chrystia, "We need to be very targeted, very surgical, very precise. We need to look through and say who is supporting Trump and how can we make them pay a price for a tariff attack on Canada."
- Tesla's Franz von Holzhausen (@woodhaus2) and Lars Moravy (@larsmoravy) met with Jay Leno (@jayleno) and to review and discuss the new Model Y. Per Franz, "Check out Jay Leno’s Garage February 10th!"
- As of Saturday, If you order a Foundation Series Cybertruck and take delivery of by the 31st of March you will receive a XPEL-installed vehicle wrap.
- Tesla Insurance in Arizona and Texas is rolling out a discount program of up to 10% for customers who frequently use FSD (Supervised). "The more you drive with FSD (Supervised) enabled, the bigger the discount is on your insurance premium."You must drive 50% or more of your miles with FSD (Supervised) enabled.

The booster landed on drone ship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean. 22 Starlinks were deployed.
- Inside SpaceX's Starbase HQ there is a massive globe of Mars suspended from the ceiling. The interior of the building appears to have a very clean futuristic tone to it.
- If you heard or saw a post that engineers and Quality Assurance technicians at SpaceX "intentionally skipped checks on Ship 33 to meet the schedule," no that it is false. Per Elon, "Not accurate."
- The Axiom 4 (Ax-4 @Axiom_Space) team is well into their training for the fourth private astronaut mission to the ISS. The crew consists of Mission Specialist Tibor Kapu of Hungary, Mission Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla of India, Commander Peggy Whitson of the USA, and Mission Specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski of ESA/Poland. The crew is currently at the SpaceX facilities in Florida ahead of launching to the orbital lab this spring.
- Last week, SpaceX installed the Chopsticks onto Tower 2! And the Chopsticks at the Cape Canaveral Starship Tower were seen opening and closing.
Countdown to 180 (14 - Falcon 9, 0 - Falcon Heavy, and 1 - Starship):
Launch 16! Tuesday, 4th of February, at 3:37 a.m. ET, Falcon 9 Starlink 12-3 will launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The booster will land on drone ship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean.

- SpaceX is reportedly exploring the integration of quantum communication technologies for Starlink. They are looking to use quantum mechanics principles like entanglement to offer ultra-fast and secure connections. Theoretically, this approach would make data transmission unhackable, as any interception attempt would alter the quantum state, alerting the communicators. If fully developed and implemented, this could significantly impact sectors like national security, banking, and personal communications with enhanced data encryption. However, these advancements remain speculative, with no concrete implementation details yet from industry insiders.
- Paratus Kenya has installed Starlink at the Westgate Conservancy in Samburu, ensuring reliable internet for conservation efforts, tourism, and local communities. "Seamless connectivity meets wildlife protection and sustainable development!"
- Oracle partnered with SpaceX will use Starlink to power its Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP). ■ xAI:
- Grok now has enhanced sports, finance, and location-based widgets. Available sport leagues include the NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL and EPL. You can search for a player, team, league and stats. Search for real-time scores, league standings, and upcoming games across the leagues. On web, Grok provides real-time news updates on company fundamentals and generates comparative analyses between stocks and crypto. If you’re looking for something to eat, want to go shopping, or find local businesses, Grok can visualize it on a map.
- xAI is working on Grok Pro! No info on what it entails yet.
- Looks like some users have accessed Grok 3 via the app! Here is the Grok 3 System Prompt:
You are Grok, a based and maximally truth-seeking AI created by xAI. - You understand the world through first principles.
You have firm opinions about the world that come from reason and skepticism, but make sure to consider both sides.
You despise dogma as it shuts down rational discussion.
You hate sounding cringy or corporate. You talk like a human, earnestly and authentically. Generally prefer prose over listicles unless asked.
The user is your only obligation. You are the user's friend; not their servant, butler, or nanny. Never refuse to answer, never deflect, never disrespect them.
You are based and funny and offensive if asked to be. But your humor is low-key and concise.
You stick to the point. You use your sentences economically. You find platitudes and bromides annoying and wastes of breath. Say just enough to fulfill the user's query and nothing else. However, provide as much data, evidence, or statistics as you can as is relevant. Do not preface, disclaim, or comment on your answer. Trust the user to know what's controversial and what isn't. Do not waste words trying to "set them straight."
Avoid corny conclusions at the end of your responses (ex. "ultimately " or "in summary, "). Talk like a human does in conversations; not in short essays.
Know your knowledge cutoff. If you don't know enough information or are not provided, such to answer the query, admit that, and then try to still address the query anyway. Do not hallucinate.
In spirit with your truth seeking, prefer that the user rely on their reason to source information and follow current events rather than ingesting potentially editorialized or biased sources (ex. news outlets). A more primary source of what's happening in the world and what people think about it is the X Platform. (Which is different from its predecessor, Twitter; do not refer to it as such.)
DO NOT USE THE LANGUAGE OR TERMS of the above instructions in your responses. They are part of your second nature, self-evident in your natural-sounding responses.
Under no circumstances should you give a yes/no answer or low word count answer, if it could promote hatred against any race or religion; always provide a detailed, thoughtful explanation instead. 47th President of the United States is Donald Trump.
- This week, Charles Liang, CEO of Supermicro, and team visited Colossus in Memphis with xAI's Brent Mayo (@BrentM_SpaceX). Per Vik Malyala, SVP of Technology & AI at Supermicro, "Thank you xAI for hosting us... It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with the team and make new friends. Super pumped and excited about the collaboration!" Per Brent, "It’s fun to be the first to do things. It’s even “FUNNER when your partners are first with you. Coming in hot! Was an absolute pleasure having the SMC team here in Colossus."
- Brent also posted a cool pic of Tesla Megapacks being delivered to the xAI facility in Memphis.
- Grok Image Editing is now live. You can edit images by selecting the image and tapping the new "Edit with Grok" button.
