ELON CHRON: Your 24hr Musk Companies Update (Patreon)
Content
3rd of April, 2025
"Have done so much HCSSF. It’s like meditation..." - Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA $TSLA ($267.28, -5.47%):
- The Supercharger Team is going to build a UFO themed site in Roswell, New Mexico. The station will be at the Whataburger on N Main St and feature 8 stalls, located under a new iteration of the CyberCanopy. This one will look like the front of a Cybertruck with RGB fixtures and a 20.88kW solar array. Great find by MarcoRP (@MarcoRPi1)!
Per Tesla's Supercharging Lead Max de Zegher (@MdeZegher), "We want to build a few Superchargers cool enough to be worthy of the trip itself. Wish we could have kept it under wraps for longer, but submittal was needed for Planning Approval. We can't hide anything from MarcoRP!"
- Tesla's Matthieu Streel and the Team have set up a Test Drive station at the Remouchamps Supercharger in Brussel, Belgium. If you are in the area go give the new Model Y and 3 a try. During April, they will hit other Superchargers in Namur, Arlon, and Verviers.
- Per Velid Čaluk, Service Supervisor at the Tesla Center in Mulhouse, France, "We had the privilege of welcoming our firefighters from the Haut-Rhin region today. We give them the first important safety measures on our Teslas in the event of an accident and answered their questions and resolved problems that they may have encountered during their interventions. Thank you to them for their solicitation and their daily work!"
- At Giga Berlin today, 130 students got a glimpse of the dual study and apprenticeship programmes Tesla offers.
Practice-oriented apprenticeship training emphasizes individual development in a dynamic learning environment to kickstart careers in automation.
The dual study program combines university education with practical training, alternating between theoretical phases at recognized universities and hands-on phases at Tesla locations. This culminates into either a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Arts degree upon completion.
- According to the Opplysningsrådet for Veitrafikken (OFV), for March, the Model Y reclaimed the No.1 spot as Norway's best-selling car. 13,304 registered, +36.5% YoY. Tesla delivered 2,792 Model Ys in Q1.

- Germany's KBA reported Tesla sold 2,229 Tesla sales and 0.6% market share for March. This is -43% YoY. For Q1, Tesla sold 4,935 in Germany, -62% YoY.
- Yesterday, the new Model Y was activated in South Korea. Over 15,000 orders were placed. Delivery window is from 4 to 6 months. Tsla Chan (@Tslachan).
- Tesla Tarragona's Luis López is excited to share the first Tesla taxis in Tarragona, Spain.

- Fram2 Commander Chun Wang (@satofishi) posted the beautiful video as they orbited over Florida. Chun zooms in on Kennedy Space Center where we can see the row of launch complexes. Per SpaceX's Dan Huot (@danhuot), "Would go full bubble boy and just live in that window all flight. What a view."
- On the 9th of April, SpaceX's Inspiration-4 Commander Jared Isaacman (@rookisaacman) is to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the 15th NASA Administrator.

■ THE BORING COMPANY: N/A... boring.
■ NEURALINK:
- Per Neuralink's Dr. Jordan Amadio (@AmadioMD), "Going global! Please refer patients with paralysis (who may benefit from Neuralink's BCI technology) to be considered for inclusion in our clinical trials."
■ STARLINK:
- Today there is a lot of hype about Amazon's Kuiper constellation as competition to Starlink, but note that this ULA launch will be the very first batch for Amazon and a lot of testing will be needed. Without the help of SpaceX contacts to launch at a high cadence, they will never catch up Starlink.
- Today, India's Aam Aadmi MP, Raghav Chadha, proposed in the Rajya Sabha that India withhold regulatory approval for Starlink to renegotiate the 27% tariffs imposed by President Trump. Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia responded by stating that any provider, including Starlink, meeting India's regulatory and security requirements would be welcome.
- Today, Poland supplied Ukraine with 5,000 more Starlinks to ensure stable communications for its military and critical infrastructure, as reported by Ukrainska Pravda.
■ X:
- The X Money dashboard now has X Cards added. You'll be able to request a physical X Card. H/T Nima Owji (@nima_owji)
- Nima also found yesterday's X handle pricing. Starting price is $10k up to $500k. I would assume this is just for verified orgs as the image shows, but still, that's steep.
■ xAI:
- Memphis Mayor Paul Young addressed community concerns about xAI's 15 natural gas turbines' environmental impact by proposing an ordinance to allocate a portion of xAI’s tax revenue to fund projects and improvements in the Boxtown community near the Colossus Super Cluster. Young pledged greater transparency, and highlighted xAI's $80 million greywater facility under construction to reduce aquifer strain. Young views xAI as a massive economic opportunity for Memphis.
■ DOGE:
Estimated Savings: $140 Billion
Amount Saved Per Taxpayer: $869.57
- Today, the Institute of Museum and Library Services canceled $25 million in DEI grants for $15 million in savings. This includes:
$265K for Queens College in New York to research “why BIPOC teens” read Japanese comic books.
$250K to erect “LGBTQ+ historical markers” across Ohio.
$140K for the University of South Carolina to create “safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals” in libraries.
$400K for the University of Tennessee to study “LGBTQ+ library users’ metadata.”
$105K to California Association of Museums to address “systemic racism” in museums.
$6.7M for the California State Library to “enhance equitable library programs.”
$1.5M to Connecticut State Library system to “integrate social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion” into their daily work.
- Yesterday, agencies cancelled 47 contracts with a $87.5 million ceiling value and $30.2 million in savings. This included a $3.4 million State Department management consulting contract for “aviation advisors in Kenya”.
■ ELON NEWS:
- Elon posted he may stream PoE2 tonight. "Have done so much HCSSF. It’s like meditation. Not feeling well right now, but will stream tonight if health improves, in advance of the PoE2 update tomorrow." So, HCSSF means Hard Core Solo Self Find. Think of it as a kind of therapy, but solo. In other words, Elon needs to logout of life for a bit and get his center back.
