"Whatever happens, we have got the spaceships, and they do not..." - Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA $TSLA ($308.58, +4.55%):
- The City of Irvine Police Department's Cybertruck by UP.FIT (@UpfitTesla). Pics by Jeff Bowman.
- Tesla is attempting to block the city of Austin from releasing public records to Reuters regarding the Robotaxi launch on the 12th of June. Tesla says that the disclosure of "confidential, proprietary, competitively sensitive commercial, and/or trade secret information" would "irreparably harm" the company by revealing its deployment procedures, processes, status, and strategy. Austin’s public records officer, Neal Falgoust, stated the city takes no position on the confidentiality but is required to seek an opinion from the Texas Attorney General, as Tesla claims the information is proprietary. Reuters argues the public has a right to know due to the "unproven" technology’s deployment on Texas roads.
- Today, Tesla was listed as a "Known AV Operator" on the Austin DMV website. H/T Tesla Yoda (@teslayoda).
- Tesla opened their 12th Tesla store and service center in the North Texas region this weekend in Flower Mound. Clinton of Our Cyber Weekend (@vanquishfoes) was there grilling from his custom built Cybertruck kitchen. CJP (@mrtimer2022) has his space themed Cybertruck on hand. Customers and their kids got to put their hand prints on Cybertruck in the new service center. Looked like a great grand opening.
- Tesla is preparing to launch the 7-seat version of the Model Y. A customer email is going out teasing its arrival.
- Milan Kovac is leaving the company after nearly a decade at Tesla. He has been leading the Optimus project since 2022. Milan has stressed it is to prioritize family abroad and nothing else. His role is assumed by Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla’s Autopilot software director since 2019. Per Milan, "I want to thank the outstanding leaders, engineers, recruiters, technicians, operators, HR partners and everyone I’ve been blessed to share a part of my life with. I want to thank Elon from the bottom of my heart for his trust and teachings over the decade we’ve worked together. Elon, you’ve taught me to discern signal from noise, hardcore resilience, and many fundamental principles of engineering. I am forever grateful. Tesla will win, I guarantee you that."
Per Elon, "Milan, thank you for your outstanding contribution to Tesla over the past decade. It was an honor working with you. Enjoy the time with family."
- Tesla has opened the 140,000-square-foot collision and sales center at 3650 Dudley Blvd in McClellan Park of North Sacramento. This facility has flags outside of the driveway with one reading Pre-Owned and more than 75 Teslas of different years and models securely contained on the 8.6-acre lot.
- Tesla plans to open a service center at 5045 Warden Road in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on a 3-acre lot previously occupied by Reuber Automotive. They have secured a $5.1 million lease.

■ THE BORING COMPANY:
- Michel (@Mic_VegasSphere) got a great view of the Vegas LOOP dig site south of the Convention Center Monorail stop. Per Michel, "It looks like a junction between Central Hall going up or down Paradise Rd. I can’t see it, but I believe there is a tunnel leading to Encore on the near side. Interesting that both tunnel walls are already finished." This junction probably allows drivers to switch tunnels and not for passengers.
Here are pics of the same dig site by Nevada Ready Mix.
■ NEURALINK:
- Neuralink Co-Founder DJ Seo (@djseo_) showed us the Neuralink prototype lab Saturday. Organization skill level maximized!

United says this is common with new Wi-Fi systems and poses no safety risk. Per United, "Starlink is now installed on about two dozen United regional aircraft. United and Starlink teams are working together to address a small number of reports of static interference during the operation of the Wi-Fi system, which is fairly common with any new airline Wi-Fi provider. We expect the service to be back up and running on these aircraft soon." United plans to reconfigure 40 more E175s this month and begin installing Starlink on CRJ-550 jets soon, equipping all dual-class regional jets by year-end.

- Looks like calmer heads may prevail. Per President Trump on getting rid of his Model S, “No, I may move the Tesla around a little bit.” On Starlink Trump said, “It’s a good service.” And he said the following on Elon, "Look, I wish him well. We had a good relationship and I just wish him well, very well actually."
