This batch is filled with great and compelling stages!
Always wanted a Greece stage (if I ever were to create my own stage it would be a Greece mountain stage) and we got a great one with Limnis-Plastiras.
Monti di Ala is an amazingly interesting stage (although it suffers mightely from the "shadow disease" I mentioned last time*).
And the particles for Sleeping Warrior created themselves: I took the particles from the other Kenian stages that are made for the sandy and dusty surfaces with massive smoke clouds that would have been way over the top for the surface of Sleeping Warrior, went into the file, adjusted the physics values of the particles instinctively in an attempt to represent a more pebbly, compressed dry road with just some dust, went into the stage and voilá, the result was pretty much what I finally landed on (see the video above). Apparently my brain now fully adapted to the settings, values and numbers of the RBR physics - I'm living in RBR world now.
*Regarding the "shadow disease" I mentioned last time, I reveived an update: apparently help is on the way to fix these sharp shadows that stifle a lot of options and variety for the more diffuse weather options. A tool is being developed but it will take some time until it can be applied in the RallySimFans installation. So for now we will have to live with some limitations with the hazy, dusk, dawn weather settings.
By the way, Sleeping Warrior is a great example of a stage that found an excellent balance of believable shadows for sunny conditions without ruining the aesthetics in the more hazy weather conditions! Pass this on to whoever it may concern.
