We'll be deep-diving into all things Tom Cobalt this month, and we can't wait to chat more about the fourth-born son and his journey throughout the Like Us series (and bonuses!) ✨ It's been a long-time coming, and we're so excited for a Tom-centric podcast where he gets the full spotlight 🥰

I’m over the moon that I get to ask these! I can’t wait for this episode! 🥹🤎 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: I apologize in advance for the large onslaught of questions below this (😅)! I have been compiling them for a while in hopes that this topic would one day win and that glorious day has finally arrived! ~~ 𝐌𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 1. In the past you’ve discussed having to create “pitches” for your books. If you had to pitch Tom as a character (like you would one of your books), how would you do it? 2. In NLU Tom mentions that The Carraways’ label is talking about sending them on tour. What is one city that Tom would hope to visit while on tour? What is one thing that he would hope to do while he’s there? :) 3. I was curious about Tom’s French skills! It was mentioned in the “Cobalt Family Meeting” bonus that Tom completed Beckett’s French paper for him (so I would assume that he has a good grasp on written French), but we don’t see Tom speak French that often compared to some of his siblings. I was wondering where he falls amongst the Cobalt brood in terms of French skills (both written and verbal)? Would he ever incorporate French into his songs? 4. Does Tom have an aversion to any food items? 5. Would you say that Tom is a character that welcomes physical touch? In NLU there are two moments where we see both Eliot + Luna affectionately grasp the back of his head, and in the “The Calloway Couture Fashion Ad” bonus scene he’s the son that gives Rose a side-hug and a kiss on the cheek. Were these moments just demonstrations of the comfortability that he has with those characters, or is he more of a physically affectionate person in general? 6. In the “A Rainbow Brigade Favor” bonus, there are a couple of moments where Tom’s closeness with Moffy is mentioned. Their bond is one of my absolute favorites in the “Like Us” series, and I was wondering if their close relationship was something that you planned out as you were creating their characters, or was it something that happened naturally as you were writing? 7. In a past Troublemakers podcast episode (Monthly Podcast #19) it was said that Tom has a nose piercing that he wears on occasion. Does he still wear a nose ring in the current timeline? What kind of piercing does he have placement-wise? 8. In “Infamous Like Us” Luna mentions that Tom likes CDs because he thinks they’re “vintage cool”. Is there a CD that Tom owns that’s his favorite, or one that he has a fond memory of? 9. In the “Guys Night Out” bonus Tom has a conversation with Farrow, Maximoff, and Oscar about bottoming and topping. During this discussion, Farrow encourages Tom not to “make huge parameters about being a strict whatever-the-fuck” before he’s been intimate with someone. It’s been implied that Tom has gained some more experience since this bonus took place, but I was wondering if we might see this topic arise again once we reach Tom’s story? 10. I am obsessed with all of your Pinterest boards and I always love looking through Tom’s! I adore so many of the pins that are on his board, I especially cherish the romance pins (though I think Pinterest removed some of them recently ☹️). Those pins radiate such an intimate energy and it makes me so happy knowing that he’ll find that one day (<3). I was wondering how accurate you would say those pins are to what you have planned for his romance? Were those pins pinned with his love interest in mind? I love creating Pinterest boards, but it can be a struggle to find accurate depictions of specific things that I’m searching for, so I was wondering how specific you are with the pinning process? 11. Is there a pin on Tom’s Pinterest board that’s your personal favorite, or is there a particular pin that you feel best represents Tom’s character? 12. What qualities or traits does Tom admire in others? What kinds of people does he gravitate towards? 13. Are there any songs that remind you of Tom? I have a Tom playlist and am trying to find some more songs to add to it! :) 14. We know that Warner and Tom have been friends for quite awhile, did they meet at Dalton Academy or somewhere outside of school? 15. In “Charming Like Us” we witnessed an argument between Tom + Warner about the standards that Tom holds his bandmates to. Has the ongoing drummer situation impacted Tom + Warner’s personal friendship at all (considering the length of time that it’s spanned and the extra stress that they were enduring for that amount of time)? 16. When the Like Us Book Club was re-reading “Unlucky Like Us” we had an interesting discussion about Tom rejecting Harriet’s offer to drum for the Carraways in the future, once she turns 18. Some of us had different viewpoints and theories regarding Tom’s slight change from Harriet’s initial audition in “Infamous Like Us” (where he was “eager and excited” due to her drumming abilities and was interested in her joining the band before learning her age) to the conversation that he then has with Luna and Eliot in “Unlucky Like Us” (where he admits that Harriet was “good”, but he told her that he wasn’t interested in pursuing her for the drummer position). I was wondering if you could please talk about how Tom’s thought process regarding the drummer saga has changed and how his standards for the “perfect” drummer evolved as the series progressed? 17. I was curious about Tom’s perception of Phoenix’s drumming abilities. We know that Phoenix is a skillful drummer, when he’s first mentioned in “Sinful Like Us” Eliot insists that he’s “the best drummer for the job” (even though Tom attempts to refute that statement) and in “Unlucky Like Us” Tom refers to him as being the “bar” for future Carraways drummers. Does Phoenix being a part of a successful band like Nothing Personal play a role in how Tom views him and his abilities (and how he then in turn views the abilities of other drummers that audition for The Carraways)? We’ve seen Tom struggle with the fact that that the drummer that “got away” is more successful than him, so is there a part of Tom that views Phoenix as his golden ticket to success (in the sense that because Nothing Personal was able to reach such heights with Phoenix as their drummer, then The Carraways would automatically be able to achieve the same with him by their side)? Or are Phoenix’s drumming abilities so masterful that his skills alone are what managed to ensare the attention of a hard to impress perfectionist like Tom? 18. Is anyone outside of the famous families aware of the rivalry between The Carraways and Nothing Personal? It was mentioned in the “All About Beckett Cobalt” podcast episode that Tom “doesn’t hide his dislike” when it comes to that situation, so I was wondering if his manager or his team were aware of the tension that exists between both groups (especially since they belong to the same label)? Or is it a situation that Tom would only be comfortable confiding in his family about? 19. How would Tom rank the musical abilities of the following characters on a scale of 1–10: - Akara - Warner - Phoenix - Harriet - Alfie (if his ranking isn’t too spoilery) - Himself (Tom) 20. Do the fans of The Carraways have a fandom name in the series, or might they in the future? What’s What’s something about Tom’s story that you’re excited to write about that might surprise us? :) What would be the outcome of The Carraways and Nothing Personal being trapped inside of a confined space together (an elevator at their shared label building, a tour bus, etc.)? Who would survive (and why would it be Warner)? Will Tom’s notorious phone call with Phoenix (that we learned about in Unlucky) be brought up again in the Cobalt Empire series? On a previous podcast, you mention that “Phoenix St. Pierre is the drummer that went to Tom’s rival band Nothing Personal because Tom didn’t want him” and if it’s not too much of a spoiler, I was wondering if Phoenix specifically went to Nothing Personal because they’re The Carraways Rival band, or did Nothing Personal become Tom’s rival band because Phoenix joined them? While touring, would Tom still make time to FaceTime with Luna and Eliot? Before performing does Tom have any rituals that he performs? Or any superstitions (such as wearing a “lucky” piece of jewelry etc.)? How Tom would feel about his LI going through the Cobalt initiation? What’s Tom’s favorite pizza topping? This is so random but I’ve had this quote highlighted in Sinful Like Us for years in anticipation of more context 😂 Jane mentions that Tom was so afraid of Jurassic Park as a child that he slept in her bed for the whole of July. Winnifred + Spencer are the only characters whose boards have been confirmed (if I’m not mistaken)! Becca mentioned in the most recent side characters podcast (https://www.patreon.com/posts/100812195?utm_campaign=postshare_fan) that she has a Phoenix board that’s private, but we’ve never gotten confirmation that that one will ever be made public. (I love all of these Pinterest questions, though! I’m always excited for the possibility of new boards! 🥹🤞🤎)

Tom doesn't really have any big storyline in the Like Us series like Beckett, Ben and Charlie. I know there's the storyline with his crushes and trying to find a drummer but i mean BIG storylines like Becketts drug issue, Ben in the car crash etc. Was there a storyline you had wanted to incorporate but it didn't fit in the timeline and page count of the Like us series ? Hope we get to see more of the two youngest cobalt boys in Bens books.🤞

This is off topic, Hello ladies, iam just curious Burn Bright is the first book your writing with the Addicted series families while you ladies are living separately. I know you wrote book 2 in the Webs we weave series separately but with the famous one families does it make it harder to bounce ideas off each other immediately since your starting a new series with the cobalts and its the first introduction book. Are you starting the series with the idea for readers who may have not read the Like us series they will still be able to understand even if they havent read the Like us series? Does no longer being in the same room /house writing make writing it more difficult when you have to consider fresh new readers. I hope that made sense. In my head it seemed clearer lol. Please skip if your not far enough to answer.
