Welcome to the newest Fizz Hangout! Every Friday, you all can stop by the weekly Fizz Hangout post and ask questions (to us or to your fellow patrons), discuss recent bonus scenes and/or podcasts with each other, and catch up on all the goodies you might've missed!

HANGOUT QUESTION: we love seeing your response to questions about the Like Us series, and it helps facilitate some awesome discussions! Each week, there'll be a new "hangout question" that you can answer in the comments, if you wish!

Let's talk book collecting! Do you collect exclusive editions (like B&N and Special Editions) or do you just like the one standard edition? If you do collect: Do you prefer your exclusive editions to have aesthetic differences (color combo changes/sprayed edges, etc.) or do you prefer your special editions to have exclusive content like deleted scenes and bonus scenes?

Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties!! It's been a lovely week of...you guessed it, more writing! It's a little bittersweet being on the final book of the Webs We Weave series because we will have to say goodbye to these characters soon. And how strange that sounds when the second book hasn't even released yet! We're still not used to being "ahead" of our release schedule. But we're so incredibly excited about Destructively Mine coming out in April. We cannot wait to see what you all think of it! Like we've said before, it's our most rewritten book and we really fought hard for the best version. There will be ARCs for it on Netgalley, and through Valentine PR  (you can sign up now for it on VPR!) So if you're a reviewer, you might be able to snag a copy before April. We'll keep you posted!!

Outside of work, I (Krista) am busy planning my wedding. During this process, I've come to appreciate Jane Eleanor Cobalt. She is a goddess! Because this stuff is more difficult than I anticipated! I will be glad to never see another seating chart after this 😂

Here on Patreon, we're so looking forward to the bonuses this month, and the podcast topic has us itching to dish ALL the details. Hopefully our memories of the creation of the Addicted Series won't fail us. This is where I will be calling upon Lore Queen (Becca) to help! You can expect the content to drop in the coming weeks.

The damage comes from books that got a little roughed up during shipping to us. Usually, it's very minimal damage like a bent corner. You can also ADD character note bookplates to these ones! 📍SIGNED BOOKPLATES:

Once we sell out of our current inventory, we will be transitioning the store from signed books to signed bookplates. There will be a note on the book's product page if it will include a signed bookplate instead of signatures inside the book.

If you REALLY need to finish your collection with signed books, NOW is the time to order them. Once a book sells out, the next time it's for sale on the store it will be signed via bookplate.

I’m more likely to buy a special edition if it has aesthetic differences AND bonus content. Just one or the other makes it way harder for me to justify the purchase if I already had a copy of the original (esp with international shipping and exchange rates) but I guess if I had to choose, the bonus content is definitely what I would prefer 😇 Good luck with the rest of the wedding planning!! 🥳🩷

i honestly don’t collect books other than y’all’s. i’m a nerd on the editions and their rarity, so i collect any and all. i have the entirety of the re-releases signed, along with the indie calloway sisters series covers signed, and miscellaneous copies of other addicted to you coveres signed. along with the signed bad rep, signed book box versions of the bed rep duet, and the circus is family series signed. as i write this… i think i just love having them all on my shelf and KNOWING they’re signed with love lol. i have the signed copy of ULU that i won and cherish soooo much. i’m working on getting the raging ones duo, love and other cursed things, and my DREAM is the og covers of amour amour and infini. i would give annyyythiiinngg for them!!! i’m considering getting the indie covers of the addicted series (the cursive ones) and also one day i swear to myself i’ll get on to collecting the like us series!!!

oh and i have a dream of one day collecting the “kiss covers” of the calloway sisters series and finishing my collection of the “body covers”. i have addicted to you and ricochet!

I buy and read all books on an ereader. I buy physical copies of those (only yours really) only for bonus content 😉 no matter the international shipping costs.. And then usually I give them away again, for I love giving things to others that I really love myself.

As much as I love all of the book covers, I solely use a kindle as I just don't have the space in my home to collect physical books. It's always a little disappointing though when there are bonus scenes in the special addition books that I miss out on!

I’ve also only ever really collected your books, specifically the Like Us series. I just love the hardcover special edition. Haley’s illustrated covers are just gorgeous. I also do not have any room in my apartment for more books, so I own mostly eversions of all my other favorites. Although, I am starting to buy hard copies of some others just in case there is an apocalypse and all of my electronic devices go dark (it’s all very Maximoff Hale of me). However, I wouldn’t say I’m collecting specific copies of those. I also have hard copies of the Berkeley edition of the Addicted series because I needed the bonus scenes. I would probably buy Haley Secen illustrated special editions of that series in a heartbeat; although, I know that isn’t very likely given the constraints of traditional publishing.

I've read all your books on kindle, while I had a short subscription to test it out. I really love physical books and I am not the biggest fan of reading online. Tbh I am not a big romance-reader in general and if I didn't have that subscription I probably would have never read your series as not buying a copy is less commitment (Thank God, I have) So you can feel extra special for getting me SO obsessed with these characters that I think of them every day :) I think at some point I have to make the biggest shopping tour ever and buy the first edition I can get my hands on.

I do collect special editions! :) I used to subscribe to a couple different book boxes, but I had to stop when I ran out of space to store everything (🙂‍↕️). Now, I tend to just collect releases from my favorite authors! I do cave to FOMEFT sometimes, though, and end up purchasing other special editions as well. I started collecting SJM’s books back in 2016 (that was my first venture into bookish collecting), so it’s been interesting seeing the special edition market develop in the time since! If I had to choose between aesthetic differences or bonus content, I would choose to purchase the special edition that contains bonus content! I **love** what you did with the Berkley editions, all of the bonus content was phenomenal! :) The LU special editions were also the best of both worlds (aesthetic differences + bonus content), so that was amazing as well! I’m sending good thoughts + vibes your way as you tackle wedding planning, Krista (✨)! Jane’s energy is alongside you during this planning period! 🤎🤎🤎

ahhh! i can’t imagine how bored i would be planning a wedding. halfway through i would probably put all the tíos and cousins that are currently fighting in one table for fun and call it a day 😮‍💨 fingers crossed you never see a seating chart again! trust once the wedding happens every little detail will be worth it 🤍🤞

Hey girls, happy Thursday! 🌟 I’m sliding in just one day before the next blog post to chat a bit! My answer to the Hangout question is... I think I’m a bit spoiled by the KBR Universe now. 😂 Like, if the bonus scenes are on Patreon, I can totally focus on the aesthetics of the exclusive copy. So, I’m *all about* saving up for those Leather Bound editions by Brandon Sanderson for his entire Cosmere. 🤑 I just love the idea of Xavier getting those same Leather Bounds for Christmas, being part of the whole hype. Honestly, I can’t even explain how much I’m excited for his novel again! I know it sounds a bit superficial, but with all the amazing bonus content we get, I feel like I’m definitely well-fed, so I can focus on the visuals. 😅 Speaking of bonus scenes, I’m now 70% ish into Unlucky Like Us and... wow. I didn’t expect this, but even though I *love* Luna and Donnelly’s relationship, the dynamic I’m most drawn to? It’s actually Loren and Donnelly’s friendship! Like, I thought I’d want more Farrow and Donnelly scenes based on Donnelly’s POVs, but nope—Lauren and Donnelly’s interactions are everything! 🫶 With Loren Hale, his dry humor and sarcasm really shine when he has someone to bounce it off of, which is why his friendship with Connor works so well. Connor indulges it without taking any crap, and their dynamic thrives because of it. But what’s so surprising is how Donnelly fits into that same groove with Loren. Donnelly’s kind of the butt of the joke, but in a way that lets Loren fully enjoy the banter, and it’s just hilarious. 🤣 It’s a friendship I didn’t know I needed, but now it’s easily in my top three of the Like Us series. I genuinely look forward to their moments as much as I do Luna and Donnelly’s! If I could throw some bonus chapter requests into the universe, I’d *love* more scenes with Luna and Lauren—like when Lily wakes up, or some cozy moments in the hospital during Lily’s stay. 🛏️🧁 I think it’d be so fun to revisit those quieter times, especially now that Lily’s older. Maybe just before that call Loren has with Donnelly, where he’s told everyone needs psych evaluations?—something along those lines would be amazing. 😄 On the wedding planning front, I’m thrilled to hear everything is going excitingly well! 🎉 Astrologically speaking, this is such a significant time, and makes sense why it would be initated right now actually! For the first time since 2008, Pluto is leaving Capricorn and moving into Aquarius, which means major rebirths, big changes, and fresh starts. It can be painful, as with these very far away planets like Pluto, but it’s also a huge opportunity for growth. 🌱 So, it feels really fitting that the Cobalt Empire series is coming soon, wedding planning is coming soon—it aligns perfectly with these cosmic shifts. Of course, I had to bring astrology into this! ✨ In other news, I’ve started diving into the *Star Wars* comics, but I’m still... unconvinced. 😬 I can see the vision, but I’m waiting for something to really click, and I’d love to chat more about it with you guys! Xavier would be all over leather bound Brandon Sanderson editions! They sound so divine ❤️ Yes, Lo and Donnelly have some of our favorite interactions and character development in the series. Their relationship is a constant rollercoaster, and we're so happy we could fit into the series. Oooh we shall definitely be adding those to our bonus scene list! It is actually really fun to write those quiet, soft scenes. I’m glad the planets are aligning correctly for big changes and growth! There is some much cosmically shifting this fall for us. And the announcement at the end of the year feels like it’s going to be the big kickoff for the Cobalt Empire, so we can’t wait to get to that one! ✨ Love the astrology insights!! 📣 CALLS BECCA! October 12th!! Hopefully no rain 🤞 Yep, we are going on a honeymoon but it'll be at the end of the year. The dates work out better that way! Mine is around 70 people, but that's much bigger than Becca's wedding. So it still seems like a ton of people to me haha! Luckily it's mainly family, so it'll be relaxing (hopefully). Good luck with wedding planning yourself!! It's a struggle for sure, but once the pieces come together and it's done it'll be amazing 💗✨

Awww thank you so much for reading that series!!! That means so much to hear you liked it. We love those books and characters SO much 💗 We really don't talk about it for 2 reasons. 1). It hasn't been read by many people and 2). It's currently unavailable to purchase because we got our rights back from the publisher so we can re-publish it ourselves. So we honestly feel a little badly talking about it right now when readers can't actually go access it anywhere. We're hoping to re-edit it and then re-publish it in the future, so there will be a time where we won't stop gushing about it! Great question!! xoxo
