Battle of the Holiday Rom-Coms! Which Netflix Christmas movie are you more excited to see Hot Frosty or The Merry Gentleman? (For reference, Hot Frosty is about a snowman come to life and The Merry Gentleman is like a small-town Holiday Magic Mike.) There's been a debate over which one looks better LOL!

Happiest Friday, magical & heroic beauties! We're coming to you on a high because we can finally...FINALLY refer to the book we're working on with its proper title. So yes, we're currently writing Dangerously Ours 😊 We are having so much fun with this one! Shaping up the end of the series is always bittersweet, but it's also so rewarding as we get to see all the loose threads get tied and weave in some full circle moments.

Outside of writing, we're excited for Christmas movies (ahem the weekly question says it all), Gladiator 2, and sweater weather.

i'll be honest i haven't seen anything about either of these films but Hot Frosty sounds like some sort of romcom remake of Jack Frost?? and that is wild to me it's one of my fave Christmas movies from when i was young 😂😵‍💫

Why do you have to ask the hard questions? LOL. I’m probably the most excited for The Merry Gentleman because the concept looks hilarious & I am super curious about Chad Michael Murray as a Christmas movie lead. BUT Lacey Chabert is one of my favorite Christmas movie actors, so I am highly anticipating Hot Frosty too. I’m extremely excited for Wicked & Gladiator 2. Both of these are high nostalgia watches for me. I’m a musical theater kid & Wicked the musical was released when I was in high school, so I’ve owned the original album forever & have seen various Broadway and touring productions multiple times. I was also in Marching Band in high school and we did a Gladiator field-show one year that has to have been one of my absolute favorite teen experiences. Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack for the original is one of the best movie soundtracks ever IMHO.

I’m not a big holiday movie watcher, kinda like how I’m not a Christmasy book reader either… but the Merry Gentlemen sounds interesting! The only movies I HAVE to watch around the holidays are Home Alone pts 1&2!! Tradition is a thing so Christmas Eve is spent taking me back to my childhood and the adventures of Kevin and wondering how he survived and if I would have too 😂😂

Since you’re shifting Patreon bonuses to Frog&Quinn, does that mean it’s unlikely we’ll ever see a bonus scene from NLU where Audrey tells everyone about Lily walking in on Luna? I imagine it happened like a game of telephone and that just sounds like it’d be such a funny bonus scene to read!!

Ooh good question… from what they’ve said, they’re gonna focus on Finn, but still give us Jane and Thatcher’s wedding for sure!! And they always say that if they feel drawn to it, they’ll write whatever inspires them!! I do wonder if we’ll get some of Ben and his LI before we get BB or if they’ll keep their POVs under-wraps until it comes out 🤔 they always say never say never!!

That would always be a great bonus!! I know they have a list of bonuses from NLU they’d love to write so maybe they’ll incorporate some from time to time but focus primarily on Finn 🤷🏻‍♀️ you never know!!

Honestly the Merry Gentlemen sounds like it's gonna slap 🤣🤣 I loveeeeeeee sweater weather winter is literally my favorite season!! I am SO SO SO damn excited to get into Frog and Quinns heads and into their romance!!! Eeeeek soooo exciting!! Also super excited for Jane's wedding but there are 0 complaints from me if we get Finns POVs this month instead!! I also love Dangerously Ours so so much and I'm so damn excited to read it and Destructively Mine!! I hope you guys had the best week and I'm glad WWW3 isn't giving you guys as much trouble and it's just fun smooth sailing 🥰🥰🥰 soo excited for both!! I know there were forgein editions for some of your books in the past, I’m curious if it’s ever crossed your mind to make french editions for Kiss The Sky and/or Fuel the Fire? I just think that’d be so cool considering french is basically the second household language of the cobalts. I don’t even know french but I’d buy it lol, I do want to learn it though (mostly inspired by the Cobalts lmao) Oh my Connor! I could see myself trying to practice it by reading the french editions along side the English editions, that’d be so cool. Just curious if it ever crossed your minds?

Ahhhh! Burn bright being listed before dangerously ours makes my addicted universe heart so happy. I know nothings announced and maybe it’ll still come after but it makes me think we may be able to get burn bright next year and that is so exciting!!

Is there a way to order the character note bookplates to add to our current books? I meant to get one with my signed hardcover of NLU but i guess I forgot to specify. I can’t afford a whole new one (financially or shelf space lol) could that be an option added? To just get the bookplate stickers?

If you go to “Posts” there’s a pinned article at the top that says “Helpful Guide to Exploring Our Patreon” (or something similar)… if you click on it there’s a link that says “Master List of Podcasts” and then you’ll see them all in order there… they are separated into “main podcast” and “bonus podcast” but they’re in order under those headings

Under “Collections” I’m pretty sure they are in order but you’ll just have to scroll all the way to the bottom to get episode one since they have them as “newest to oldest”

Things like that are still possible! We're more likely, at this time, to write in the NLU timeline, so any bonuses in this area are prob more likely

What Abby said! Every bonus scene from here on out might not be Quinn & Frog bc if we feel inspired to write from a different POV, we will. But it's more likely we'll be writing in the NLU timeline and closer to the Cobalt Empire timeline up until Burn Bright releases. (But we do plan on finishing Jane's wedding! We have a small number of bonuses planned for that.)

We're writing this in chronological order, yes! In case we end up starting with a different area than the one we're working on, we'll stay hush hush on what Chapter 1 will be since we're still writing/editing 😆

We'd love French editions of the Coballoway books! Foreign deals tend to be much slower (and sometimes the deals fall through over time), but we're hoping this'll happen one day.

We don't sell the character notes separately since they've always been something in addition to the signed book. I'm not sure if we'll ever sell them separately in the future, but typically for giveaways we'll have character notes. We might even start doing more giveaway swag packs on Patreon 🩷 So that might be a way to get them without having to buy a book too ~ B

Right now, it might be a bit too spoilery or reveal too much, but once Cobalt Empire starts, we'd be more likely to write out their cellphone snooping extra. We also like the idea of doing it during the CE timeline bc you'd get more info about their chat groups, etc. 😊
