Changes to Our Patreon Tiers Coming January 15th (Patreon)

Happy 2025 to all of you beauties!! January 2025 marks 8 years we've been on Patreon. We first began writing extra content here and recording podcasts back in 2018, and we've been so amazed to see how its grown. It's been an emotional and rewarding experience to see so many of you join us and stick around. Thankyouthankyou, from the depths of our hearts, for being here. We talk about it all the time, but we couldn't be more grateful to each of you for the support on Patreon and also wanting more content from us.

Now this is going to be a lengthy post, so if you want to just get to the heart of it, then scroll down to the next bolded section. 

Over the past years, this platform has had some changes. Patreon has rolled out some amazing new features and updates, including things like the community chat rooms, collections, podcast live drops, and so much more that help make Patreon accessible to users. We've loved these new updates, but they've also introduced new fees to creators. Including a sizable 30% Apple fee that went into effect late last year.

It looks like most of this fee is coming out of creators, and we were really hoping we wouldn't see much of a difference. But over the past couple months, we've seen a drop in our income here, despite being at a huge peak in the number of subscribed patrons.

For eight years, we've been fortunate enough to be able to keep the cost the same at $1 and $5. We've always felt this was affordable for most and a great deal with the amount of content we produce, but with the economy, inflation, and new fees, we need to put our business pants on and raise the price. There are two of us, and we just want to make sure we're being smart financially, as Patreon helps us keep writing for a living every month.

Officially, the $1 and $5 tiers will be changing prices. Starting January 15th, the Magical Badge Tier will be raised to $5 and the Superhero Badge Tier will be $8. 

✨ What does this mean for all of you who are already subscribed? ✨

For 31 days, you will be billed at the old price. Once the 31 day period is over, renewals will be billed at the new tier price.

Our goal is to try to keep our Patreon under $10 for as long as we can. We hope you all understand and will be able to stick with us this year here on Patreon. And thank you so much for your continued support! We can't wait for all the things to come in 2025 here with Frog & Quinn, the Cobalts, and more! ✨
