CURRENTLY READING

🩷 Krista: Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver

💛 Becca: Hothouse Flower (reread), Dinner for Vampires by Bethany Joy Lenz (audio) - I just finished this on audio and it was fantastic! Haley was my favorite from One Tree Hill, so to hear the actress describe her life during that time was interesting, but I didn't realize how heartbreaking it'd be. She was taken advantage of at such an early age, and it hurts just knowing how long it took for her to break free.

LAST MOVIE WATCHED

🩷 Krista: Anora - Rating 8/10A Real Pain - Rating 7/10

💛 Becca: Anora - Rating 8/10: We're getting ahead on some of the Oscar contenders! We both loved the screenplay and think it should, for sure, at least be nominated in that category (if not winning). The ending left me thinking about it for days! The Holdovers - Rating 5/10: We watched this during the holidays with our brother, who has been obsessed with this movie since he first saw it. He over-hyped it imo. Dead Poets Society is our all-time fav, and this has similar vibes but it made me miss DPS more.

BEST IN TV

🩷 Krista: From, Severance, The Pitt

💛 Becca: Superman & Lois (season 4), The Pitt, The Challenge, Traitors (season 3)

First off, I finally got Krista to watch From! She loves it as much as I do. We both started watching The Pitt, which premiered last week, and it brings so much nostalgia for ER. We loved ER so much growing up that it likely inspired both of us to want to work in healthcare, and we were in Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA, for anyone who might've heard of it) in high school. We used to compete at HOSA competitions (there are different medical categories), and we even placed in Nationals. That's all to say that we loved The Pitt, and we can't wait for the next episode!

The Challenge had its finale, and I've been down on this season (Battle of the Eras) but the final was amazing. I love the Water World theme, and it was probably my favorite final since War of the Worlds (Mad Max theme).

Traitors began and there are way too many amazing familiar faces! We're rooting for Wes, Britney, Carolyn, and Jeremy. Dylan has been a surprise and we're already really loving him. Even though Nikki doesn't have much strategy going on, we will always have a soft spot for her! If you're watching this season, let us know your favs!
