You're invited to a Cobalt family event, BUT one of the Cobalts comes down with the flu and needs to go home early. You offer to take them home, which means you A.) have to leave the event early but B.) will have one-on-one time helping the sick Cobalt. Which Cobalt family member would you want to have the flu?

Happy Friday, magical & heroic beauties! It's officially June! Happy Pride Month!! 🏳️‍🌈🌈 We cannot believe we're already 6 months through the year. I (Krista) was scrolling through photos on my phone and realized it SNOWED in January. That feels like eons ago! Alas, we are now officially one step closer to Burn Bright releasing. We always think of it as a September release, but really since it comes out September 2nd, you only have to wait June, July, and August for it. That kinda feels like it's right around the corner. Right? LOL -- for us, it definitely does!

Many of you have been asking about preorder campaigns and book signings for BB. We will have more information about both of those things hopefully this month! So stay tuned 🩷

Here's what we're currently working on writing wise:

Editing Dangerously Ours

Writing Frog & Quinn for Patreon

Plotting/Drafting Cobalt Empire Book #2 (which is due this year!)

Many have asked if Frog & Quinn will be finished before Burn Bright releases. That has always been the plan! And in a perfect world, that plan will succeed -- but it's also possible Frog and Quinn might not be completely finished before BB but hopefully (fingers crossed) not too long after it. It really just depends on how long Cobalt Empire #2 turns out to be and if we hit any speed bumps during the writing process.

But even if Frog & Quinn's story isn't completed by September, we will still be posting bonus scenes from Ben and Harriet's POVs after Burn Bright releases. We're so excited to include their perspectives into the canon of bonus material here on Patreon!

So that's the current plan! We just wanted to keep you all looped in to the behind-the-scenes things.

AND ANOTHER BIG REVEAL: Many have asked what the official page count is for Burn Bright, and we're sharing it with you today, right here, that Burn Bright is 688 pages. Over 200,000 words, making it our second largest book right behind Nobody Like Us. (Yes, Burn Bright is bigger than Some Kind of Perfect 💙) This baby reads incredibly fast, so we have no doubt you'll likely tear through it. We love the pacing and that we were able to include lots of different relationships while keeping the romance at the center and heart of it all.
