Weekly Recap

Happy Friday the 13th! We're currently writing Loathed Love, and we're both already so very in love with this book from the jump. The vibe is very 10 Things I Hate About You (Shakespearean to the core 🤓), and it's turning out to have one of our favorite plots we've ever constructed. There is something about these three novels so far in the Cobalt Empire that have been beyond what we could've hoped for them. We're very emotional over it all 🥹

We want to say so, so, so much more, but we will refrain and possibly tease on a Wednesday. Speaking of Wednesdays, the next two will be special regarding Tom & Phoenix, so keep on the lookout 👀

Currently obsessed with One Piece, the anime AND the Live Action. Bridgerton probably had my favorite season so far, so that’s still on my radar and next week The 3rd and final season of Heartbreak High comes out, and I love, love LOVE that show! 🫶🏽

My two favorite shows right now are Paradise and The Pitt. You and Krista have great taste 😉 I’m especially loving the weekly releases, it makes me so excited to watch every week and then discuss the episodes on a group chat with my sister and friends. I’ve definitely missed the way we used to watch TV pre-streaming. I am sooooo excited for Loathed Love. 10 things I Hate About You is one of my favorite movies. This plot already sounds epic.

I’m currently on season 3 just finished Freddie’s first, I love all of it so far Season 3 is so chaotic and I think I may love the drama of Gen 2 more but the friendships in Gen 1 were so much more meaningful but we’ll see as I get through the episodes/seasons

I Can’t choose a favourite Gen yet as I’m on season 3 and still meeting characters on Gen 2 but Gen 1 was so great and I miss the characters but Gen 2 is already so chaotic

I'm actually liking them stepping away from big disaster episodes for 9-1-1. I feel like it's slowed down some of the character plots this season. The space disaster was not my fav...although, I did like the bee plot last season.

season one of opla was good, but i feel like season two was just so much better! i was so excited with every episode, they definitely nailed it! & season two of heartbreak high is SOOO good, i can’t even explain how much i loved the dynamics of the friend group this season. it was a little more serious tone wise, but it did a good job still intertwining the comedy. the acting was phenomenal that season, especially from amerie’s actress! 😖

I’m also obsessed with “9-1-1” + “The Pitt” right now! :) ~~ I’m planning on watching “SRAM” soon (it’s the Croatian adaptation of “SKAM”)! I had plans to watch it a little while ago, but I never ended up getting around to it. One of my favorite artists posted a piece of one of the “SRAM” characters the other day, though, so I’m taking that as a sign from the universe that I need to start it ASAP (🪐✨). —— !!!!!!!!!!!!!! These LL teases?!?! “10 Things I Hate About You” is one of my favorite movies (it’s so good)! I’m SO excitedddddddddd for all of the things (running laps in my brain right now)! :’) Also?! The Tom + Phoenix tease? I will be even more locked in than usual for these upcoming Wednesdays. Let the St. Cobalt watch commence (🤎💜)! ~~

Yes! I’ve never loved the big disasters unless they also mix character plots into them like the tsunami episodes. And s8 has so many two parters that did nothing for the characters I dreaded anytime they announced one. I think s9 has done a good job with stepping away, the past few episodes have been amazing and it’s been confirmed future episodes will deal with the aftermath of bucks kidnapping so I’m really excited!

I watch a lot of reality TV, and a lot of competition cooking shows (even though I don't really cook 😂) and I'm OBSESSED with this Australian cooking competition called My Kitchen Rules. I got my whole family into it! The seasons are insanely long, and the drama is so drama-y! It's streaming on Prime!

oh my god, the way this is my exact sentiment! i definitely love the drama in the second gen the most, also the acting? chefs kiss, but gen one despite fighting amongst eachother definitely felt the most like an actual friend group.. like i could feel the genuine love between all of them (most times) the friendships felt sincere. unlike gen 2, where i feel like sometimes they fr hated each other LMAO. but as a whole, gen 2 would still probably be my favorite!

Oh the WB were the glory days! Krista and I even talk about the short-lived shows that only lasted 1 season. Like The Mountain 😂 The intro to that show is still on YouTube. They used blink-182's "I Miss You" and it was the best part 🤌

I haven’t been watching anything new lately 😣 Mostly just rewatching favs! I caught up with the latest seasons of RuPauls Drag Race & finishing season 3 of Invincible to prep for next week aka the new season!! I’m going to start the One Piece live action because my brother has been begging me since season 1 🙈 So I’m excited for that!!

Speaking of short lived shows, I really miss The Society. I was thinking the other day that you and Krista should write a book that is similar. Or just write fanfic that continues the story…I don’t care I just need to see what happens to those kids and how they got there! 😂

I’m loving The Pitt and Survivor 50! I finally watched all of season 1 of The Pitt a few weeks ago and now I’m current on season 2 and am loving it! Survivor is already so good! I haven’t had time to watch tv this week, so tonight/tomorrow I need to catch up on this week’s episodes of The Pitt and Survivor! I also recently just binged all of season 4 of The Traitors! I haven’t watched any of the full previous seasons (I saw some of season 3 but not all of it), but I loved this season! I like a lot of the people who were on it, and some of the gameplay was really great to watch! I also have watched Heated Rivalry too many times to count, I’m obsessed! I just read all of the books a couple of weeks ago, so maybe I’ll rewatch the show again😂

Spoiler alert!! Like, with John dying and me remembering that Francesca falls in love with a particular someone else in the books after that happening. And seeing as who that person was in this season…. That excites me as to how that’ll play out with not only the ton (threre’s always Scotland ofcourse) but also with baby prospects 🥰🤔

I don't watch a lot of TV so Heated Rivalry was the last show I was *obsessed* with (I'm still at the cottage 🙂‍↕️). also, the latest season of Traitors (UK) was so good, idk how they make it better and better every season! OMG I *LOVE* 10 Things I Hate About You!!!!!! this is the best and worst tease bc I'm soooooo excited but November is still so far away 😭

If you’re into weekly releases instead of binges, I advise to join the very small Jess Savage Patreon (there’s only 4 subscribers I think, so it’s no competitions to your Patreon KBR). Jess is from the bestselling “Curious”, spinoff “what Theo wants” (that I absolutely love, it’s so unpredicted after curious but so on point) and “Good in the Zak” MFF book series. She drops a chapter each 3 or 4 days, of her third book in the “Coming in third” series. Just like she did with the 2nd book in the series. It makes my day, every time a chapter drops. You need to read the first 2 books in the series in advance though. But hey, spread the Patreon readers community love!

I just finished rewatching Bridgerton season 4 and love it just as much especially part 2 and iam about to finish Wednesday season 2 I left off on episode 6 when it first released. I just started Paradise and the pitt but iam taking my time with those so that season 2 can finish and I can binge watch all episodes st once . I haven’t read the “Powerless” series (so I’m not sure about the ins and outs of it), *but* I have watched “Game of Thrones”, and I’d say that it’s definitelyyy fantasy heavy — it’s considered a “high fantasy” series (🐉)! There’s intricate world building and a lot of focus on political maneuverings as multiple families battle for power. ~~ When it comes to GOT, I think it’s important to mention that both the books and the show are quite gruesome (and depict a lot of violent things that could be triggering for some individuals). It’s definitely a difficult show to stomach a lot of the time... I would only recommend it to those that are of age, and think that they’d be able to handle the nature of the show (without it impacting their mental health 🫂). With that being said, I think that it’s important to explore things that are outside of our usual interests! You never know what things might surprise you and become your new favorite media! :)

Omg thank u sm! Im almost 20 but i still have never grown into loving gruesome media. Do u have another fantasy show (and book) recommendations that are not high fantasy or as gory? Also im debating reading shatter me, fourth wing, or red queen. Do u have any opinions?

That’s more than understandable! I’m also not the biggest fan of gruesome things, so I get it. I haven’t been on a fantasy kick in a longgg time (🙂‍↕️). If I think of anything I’ll come back and send it in here! ~~ Out of the options that you mentioned, the “Shatter Me” series is an old favorite of mine! :’) I need to catch up on the new books! 🤎🤎

I highly recommend Fourth Wing, they’re 3 of the best books I’ve ever read (3 books of the planned 5 book series have been published so far)
