Mother-Daughter Bonds in the Like Us Series: Rose & Jane, Lily & Luna, Daisy & Sulli, Willow & Vada

You all voted and the results are in for March 🎉🍀 Last month, it was all about the father-daughter bonds, and this month, it's all about the moms & daughters of the Like Us series!! We're SO PUMPED for this one! Even though they're not mentioned in the podcast title, we'll also be discussing Rose & Audrey, Lily & Kinney, and Daisy & Winona too. Within reason, do you think Lily tries to be more outwardly enthusiastic for her daughter’s romantic relationships, knowing she didn’t receive that same enthusiasm in her relationship with Lo when she was younger? Obviously circumstances were different with her and Lo and I’m sure some element of her is truly happy when her daughters experience romantic relationships, but I was curious if you think Lily sometimes defaults to be overly supportive in these situations because she didn’t receive that support (from both her family and the media) and she doesn’t want her daughters to feel the same way she did. I hope this makes sense! Love you guys!! Can’t wait for the podcast :)

1) did Jane ever talk to her mom about her friends with benefits? I know they are very open but did Jane tell her mom when she had sex for the first time or did she keep it to herself, what was her moms reaction? 2) I don’t know if you’ve already answered this or not and it doesn’t have to do with this topic but In kiss the sky the psychic predicted that Rose was very fertile and would have twin boys, was this foreshadowing on your part and something you knew was going to happen? Also was it something that Rose/ Connor or any of the others who were there remember and talk about or laugh at 3) How do fights between the mothers and daughter usually go? Has there ever been any yelling or is it more of an I’m annoyed leave me alone thing? Have any of them ever gotten into a fight with their mom that has gotten bad like how Rose and Samantha used to fight? 4)how would the mothers handle a boyfriend/ girlfriend they didn’t approve of or thought was toxic for their daughters, especially with the girl squad because they are still young and living at home 5) it’s mentioned that Rose caught Charlie with a girl one time, What would the other moms do with their own daughter ? 6) what was Rose’s reaction to Audrey getting drunk? 7) Jane was always very independent and Rose was very particular with who she dated however Audrey is somewhat naive and boy crazy, does Rose ever worry that Audrey is going to do something she regrets relationship wise, how does she talk to Audrey about potential future relationships and avoiding this? 8) How would Daisy react if she found out that Winona was behaving the way that she was at 16 ( drugs, hooking up with bad guys, impulsive decisions, etc) 9) Did Willow ever tell Vada that/why she ran away and does Vada ever ask questions about life before and Robert/ Ellie or Willows mom? 10) Does Lily worry about Kinney growing up too fast like she did because Kinney is so independent and has experienced traumatic things (ex: Xander’s door incident, the boy who violated her etc.) 11) How does Lily differentiate between Kinneys friends and Kinneys girlfriends, Is she ever worried Kinneys lying so that she can spend more time alone with a potential partner

Not one of the bonds listed, and I hate to bring negative energy by mentioning her- but samantha calloway. I’m currently re-reading alphas like us and the auction scene. Samantha had her socialite friends win the bids for all of her grandkids aside from the Hales. In addicted after all she had made lily a promise to treat moffy equally to jane… what happened that changed it and how do lily, rose, and daisy feel about the fact that their mother once again has essentially shunned lily. What is it about her that has them all continuing to give her all these chances after she hurts them and their children? Like Jane with the Cinderella add and what shes said to moffy and farrow- they know all of this and still keep her around, is it just cause shes their mom or do they genuinely have hope for her?

Lily loves Lo, there is no doubt about that but if it came to it where Lo has gone to far in his judgment and anger ,would Lily ever stand up to him if it meant protecting there children. I ask this because I just finished a series where the first couple of books focused on this main couple and then the next set of books the second generation, and the female protagonist now older from the first books was diagnosed with cancer, her husband is not taking it well and there was a moment he went to far in how he spoke to their son, honestly it was horrible what he said and she over heard. She got very angry protecting her child instead of protecting his feelings like she always did, she always took his side. Not this time, I was proud of her.She told him to get out of their house. I wanted to know if Lily would ever do that.

Luna and Lily (and Lo) had a pretty big parenting moment off page with Luna’s pregnancy scare. We saw Luna freak out and want Moffy to be with her when she talked to her parents about what had happened. (Maybe a good bonus scene? I think I just miss Luna’s POV) It’s mentioned that Lily takes her to be put on birth control. How do the moms handle these heavy conversations?
