Welcome to the newest Fizz Hangout! Every Friday, you all can stop by the weekly Fizz Hangout post and ask questions (to us or to your fellow patrons), discuss recent bonus scenes and/or podcasts with each other, and catch up on all the goodies you might've missed!

HANGOUT QUESTION: we love seeing your response to questions about the Like Us series, and it helps facilitate some awesome discussions! Each week, there'll be a new "hangout question" that you can answer in the comments, if you wish!

In the spirit of honeymoons, if you could recreate an Addicted/Like Us honeymoon with your significant other, which would you choose: Bora Bora (Rose & Connor), Peru (Ryke & Daisy), Hawaii (Willow & Garrison), the Lake House (Moffy & Farrow), Switzerland (Thatcher & Jane), New Zealand (Oscar & Jack), or Fiji (Sulli, Banks, & Akara)?

P.S. I quizzed Becca on these honeymoon destinations for each couple and she aced it!! I thought she'd miss at least Hawaii, but I was wrong. She's the GOAT in my eyes.

Weekly Recap

Happy Friday, magical & super heroic beauties! Becca is currently on her honeymoon, and I've put her on a strict "no work" policy. She's not even allowed to post on social media. Which means, I will be taking over on all platforms for the week 😅 It's not as scary as it seems since Becca left me with a lot of pre-planned things because she is quite literally the best! She's also much better at answering questions than me, but I will do my best to answer any that you all have this week in the comments. If there's something that I'd need to ask or confirm with her on, I'll skip your question. So don't feel slighted if your question is skipped! I promise, I'll get back to it when Becca returns from honeymooning.

I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. I just think beach destinations are so perfect for honeymoons. But I also love how Jane and Thatcher went to Switzerland. I think it is so beautiful over there so that would be lovely, too!

I hope Becca has the best time!! I would pick the lake house. After the craziness of a wedding, I would like to rest and may be hydrate. We could do a fancy vacation next year when it's not so stressful. It's a bonus if it's cold, best time to cuddle and sleep in 🤷‍♀️

I would probably choose to recreate Moffy + Farrow’s honeymoon because I **love** nice cabins — they just seem so comfy + cozy & I wouldn’t have to stress too much about travel plans! :) •• Also — I’m not sure if you’ve seen / heard about this — but Swifties have been exchanging friendship bracelets at The Eras Tour shows & gifting these handmade bracelets to other fans, famous people that attend, as well as security guards / venue workers! So I’ve been wondering: If the famous ones were to attend The Eras Tour in Philadelphia — which members of SFO would participate in the friendship bracelet trend & how would each of them react if fans tried to give them friendship bracelets? If fans started making friendship bracelets for the famous ones on a regular basis, which members of SFO would be most excited about it? 🤎

I believe that Tom would be a big “gold rush” fan (in an alternate universe where he listens to T Swift 🫶). He would be able to relate to liking “unattainable” men — since he’s endured all of those “unreciprocated” crushes (and Luna says that it’s because Tom “never actually pursues them”). 🫠

Hi Krista! Sending my best and love to Becca who is deservedly pampered on her honeymoon! Goodness she deserves it! Not just because they are my status quo, but truly because I adore this location cuz its such an important nexus location in the KBR universe, but i would love to recreate the honeymoon at the Lake House with Marrow! I would so want to learn more about the vibe and the whys and what that house has! Does it house all the comics of the Hales? Does it have a grand piano for Charlie to play on? Does it have a french section in the library? A gaming section for the Abbeys, Moffy and more? Or are all these things exclusively found in the famous one's individual homes? Such a treat i would love to know more! :))

Side comments/Questions/Musings- I have been currently watching Succession and have seen SUCH a rise of folks seeing the value of, 'quiet' wealth instead of that Kardashian in your face, gucci drop wealth that has been flung onto us without consent for DECADES. And am privately smirking and am like "hah, the KBR girlies and famous ones have been on this trend EONS before. Get with the program. hahaha!" I am glad people are catching onto the, "show don't tell" policy/principles of life! Have you noticed this growing trend as well? What do you think? How is X-Men/Comic book reading going for you Krista? :D What are your overall sentiments at the place your at now? I have taken a break from reading comics because i have 3 really important deadlines in June (14th,15th, 19th!)! I have been mainly just doing re-reads of my comfort novels/fanfics because i know what's happening so i don't feel the URGE. hahahaha

Oh! And speaking of rereads/ rewatches ! I have been rereading a lot of Terry Prachett novels as well as Brandon Sanderson ones, and my goodness are the fantastical! I know Xander is very much into LOTR and GOTs but do you reckon that he'd be into these novels as well? :O Prachett's novels are so charming and beloved here in the UK (I think Prachett also got knighted by the late Queen indeed!) and Sanderon's mental health awarness which is pheonomnally represented in his high fantasy magic systems makes me assume he would enjoy them as well :)) Also I have been rewatching Merlin in the evenings because the BBC is doing reruns, and I didn't REMEMBER IT BEING SO GAY CODED?! Is it just me?! But like this adaptation of Merlin and Arthur HAD MORE THAN JUST BROMANCE FEELS FOR EACH OTHER :P I am sure of it! I wonder if Xander would agree... :O

Switzerland! Question: I don’t know if you guys answered this in a podcast or not but why doesn’t Luna know French when her best friends are Eliot and Tom, when Moffy knows French with mostly just Jane by his side. And also it would make more sense that she picked it up because she’s more of homebody and spends time with her family more than Moffy considering that it’s said Sully and her are more like siblings because he used to spend so much time with her and Ryke doing outdoorsy things until the paternity media drama. Is it because Luna, Tom, and Eliot weren’t ‘best friends’ until the bullying sleepover incident and Jane and Moffy have been since birth orrr? I’ve just always wondered. Maybe it’s because Luna just doesn’t care enough to learn French, but I feel like she would, because it’s like a niche friend group/family thing parallel to her fandom loving and ‘weird’ personality?

We've seen the friendship bracelet swaps from the Eras Tour online and it's such a cute thing!! We could totally see this happening in the Like Us world, which is why I'm going to have to wait to talk to Becca about it. Maybe it'll show up in a bonus or book because it could be really fun to write!

I love the dichotomy between different types of wealth and how people show it. In our research, we've found that old inherited money is more of the quiet wealth with that "show don't tell" policy whereas new money like the Kardashians are more flashy about it. It's been very interesting to research over the years! I've stalled a bit on my X-Men reading because I hit the end of the Jonathan Hickman run, and I've heard that the next lines aren't as good. I still have to read Inferno, and then from Destiny of X I'm just going to pick and choose the lines I think I'll like instead of reading everything. I think I've settled on: X-Men Red, Immortal X-Men, and Legion of X. It's definitely been a struggle to get back into it though but I'm also a binge-reader when it comes to comics, so I kind of like taking big breaks so I have more to read when I do go back. Where are you in your X-Men comic reading? I love comfort re-reads too! Those are honestly the best when you just want to read something you know you'll 100% vibe with. xoxo

I could definitely see Xander loving Brandon Sanderson! I admittedly don't know much about Terry Prachett's novels, but if it's acclaimed high fantasy, I'm sure Xander has read it. OMG a Merlin rewatch sounds so much fun!! I can see how it could seem gay coded going back to it. I just loved their bromance so much because it did feel like they were soul mates in a cosmic way. Not necessarily on a romantic level. But their connection and loyalty always trumped everything around them. I love that dynamic!
