Is the spray gun itself surviving the gel coat step ?? The inside is caked right ?

Tofu Auto Works

Once it starts to gel you've got about a 10 minute window but as long as you catch if before it goes rock hard it's easy to clean with acetone.

Amazing progress! Hope the molds pop off easy and clean. Rear fenders look really great.

Are you able to do carbon fiber in your molds? Is that something you'd consider for your build?

Tofu Auto Works

So the flanges and surface finish on my moulds are done with carbon fiber in mind, but I personally wont do it for my build since I'll be painting it and am not worried about the weight.

Samereye

I'm not sure I'd be worried about weight either if I could even get this car here in the States. But I'd still maybe try to do CF just for the bling.

Next year I believe these become legal to import to the US. And when I was playing around with potential colour schemes I did think about having raw carbon to contrast with the body colour, but it was a little too much for what I had in mind.
