The wrap was honestly something I had really been dreading. I picked up a cheap roll of un-named brand and it was the middle of winter when I started it so situations really couldn't have been worse. I knew that painting as much of the car as possible would make it easier and so I decided I would get the paint out of the way first.

And then I made a start with the wrap. It was a nightmare but I just kept getting through it, wasting as much wrap as I needed to get a good result.

The parts I didn't want to wrap ended up painted in a secondary colour to bring a little more interest to the build and so I went with a darker gunmetal on the roof, wing, and flares.

For the livery I printed off stencils and cut the entire thing out by hand.

And just like that V1 of this build was complete.

From here things really started to explode. This was when I first started my Instagram and YouTube and at the time, my YouTube had no views at all, and Instagram was what I was all about.

I got this shout out by Top Miata and it blew my mind.

Following this I lined the car up for it's first few shows. Nothing judged, I just wanted to get it out there.

I had it at Big Boys Toys where I was parked right opposite Mad Mike, another kiwi some of you might have heard of.

And then I just enjoyed having the car all in one piece.

I took the car to 4 and Rotary, one of the biggest shows in NZ.

Made my first appearance in a magazine,

Followed by a feature on Speedhunters,

I was also featured in Fast Cars UK Magazine,

And then I took a break from the cyber-mx to build the Beige Baguette which went on to be one of my most viewed recap videos on my entire channel.

Not much happened after that until I decided to finally go around the car with an airbrush and finish off the paintjob with the weathering.

And this gets us pretty much caught up with everything that went on before I decided to start filming this build on YouTube. The very next mod I did after the weathering was to start working on the auxiliary cooler housing.

Which I made a whole video on and I'll post that here on Patreon as well.
