What is this bear doing there, bound in a dark room? Is this some Halloween trick? Or a treat? And for whom?

The bear did not mind being tied up but he might have expected that he was able to free himself after an hour or so. But the captor who tied the bear is going to leave the bear alone. Unfortunate, the bear cannot stretch his legs to get himself in a more comfortable position so he has to sit upright all time Unfortunate for the bear, the captor has left the house and is going to spend the weekend somewhere else so the bear stays alone for the whole weekend.
