I read somewhere that "the flow of time is like a river. If you throw a pebble in, and although it might make a ripple, the river will continue to flow around it to its destination... But throw enough pebbles or largers rocks in specific spots, and they may make a blockade that diverts the river's path. And this can make the river go in a completely different direction, or divert some of the water to a separate path while keeping the original river intact. But if the river's flow is too strong, and you put too many pebbles in the wrong spot, the river will either overflow or break through and cause untold erosions and catastrophes around the river bed" With this mindset, Satoro has to be very careful. He can't just do nothing, but if he does too little, then history is repeating itself even if slightly different, but if he does too much, he might cause more damage than what he started with... And that's why this show is so good... And because it's an anime and not a disney movie, they dont shy away from showing the horrible dark topics and themes and you actually don't know what can happen or what the ending of that story might look like... and that's why you get so immersed and invested, because (And to quote attack on titan here) "this world is cruel, but it sometimes can be beautiful" depending on whose story is told.

Death Note and Erased back to back is so interesting. They both have this concept to “catch the person” asap in the same manner but they differentiate in how uneasy the episodes leave you. Both thrilling but aside from the time travel phenomena Eraser is somewhat more grounded (so to speak) and that makes these scenes so much more saddening and awful. 😢
