Yes! the butterfly effect. I love how we're already aware of this effect, but the show still puts us in satoru's shoes -- We're aware of morals and just being descent human beings, but how would things change or not change if we did one thing differently? and how hard or limited are we to do things differently as young people who possibly have no experiences or adults to teach us better? We can only do so much in the moment, but even then child satoru and revived child satoru made the same choice to lose the race -- Super interesting! That's such a good point too, about how/whether this kidnapper has a history and how things might end up in the future if there was no crime/criminal to stop. argggghhh this show is so unsettling and raw

Kayo's mother is such a horrid waste of oxygen. Bruises her daughter all over, and then shoves her facefirst into ice water so they'll fade and she can keep up her reputation as a "loving mother". God, everytime the woman's onscreen my skin crawls.
