monet's personality and circumstance is pretty similar to how we first found robin from a glance, which might be why most people are hopeful about her, we probably subconsciously layer our experience with robin onto monet

I'm glad the subtitles highlighted Brook using the "Watashi" pronoun and Kin'emon using the "Sessha" pronoun. In modern Japanese, you'll most commonly hear Watashi, Boku, and Ore when characters refer to themselves. Sessha is an archaic form that was used by the Samurai class in Feudal Japan - I guess the equivalent being thy, thou, etc in medieval English, but for "me" instead of "you". I really like those kinds of details, especially since the translators really didn't need to include it, yet it adds so much depth just by pointing out there was a difference in the first place.
